Plants growing REALLY slow! HELP PLEASE

Hey guys, so I have a single grow under my belt, and it seemed to go well the first time. This time I'm using the same soil method in a grow tent. The problem this time is that the plants are growing super slow.

The first grow was a random bag seed (which turned out the best) and then 4 White Rhino, which all turned out nicely. Only problems I had were that some of the bottom leaves were yellowing and it turned out it needed more nutes. All was fixed and never ran into a single other problem.

This time they are growing SUPER SLOW! But this time they are also more sativa than indica; Arjan's Haze #2. That's pretty much the only difference. I am using a soil that has slow release nutrients, I know I know, BAD IDEA. But it seemed to work out fine with the first grow.

Anyways, it looks like nutrient burn to me. Because the tips start browning and getting crispy and then the whole leaf dies. I've flushed the soil VERY well until I didn't see any yellow in the draining water. I've done that a couple of times now and it seems to help them the next day. But they are in a state of super super slow growth.

I've had them for 2 months now and they still look like seedings. What should I do? I feel helpless at this point. Is it because of the sativa's strain that it cannot handle as many nutes as the indica's can? Is it worth holding out longer and hopefully flushing out all the nutes from the soil until they start growing properly? Should I just go buy some more seeds and start over again in nutrientless soil?

Transplant them into some proven soil. They can come out of it but their growth as you said has obviously been stunted. If you can get the plants to go again your buds will continue to get bigger. And if you do the veg thing you should start your new seedlings.

Should I remove all the soil from the roots? I can see roots on the bottom of my pot, and the are LARGE pots. Not small in any way. Seems like more root growth than anything.

We need pictures and more information - lights, temps, etc?

Temps are fine at average 75F, one single 250w MH bulb about 1 foot away(close enough to not be too hot for plants). Anymore info just ask, and I'll know what to tell you.

In that case I would agree with bird and would suggest using PLAIN soil instead.

So how would you go about removing the plant from the soil in a pot that size?

I would just get new seeds, those are not worth the hassle.

yea they have been burned for sure. hot soil probably. i would start over but if you want, ill bet you can get these to live but it WILL take them time and you need to get them out of that soil fast.

oh and take the stake out, i wouldnt worry about the last for a while.

Wow! You could probably just scoop them out with a small garden spade, you know, the kind you use to transplant in your outside gardens. I would have to be there to see if the soil your using was easy to be removed from the roots. You will have to use your own judgement.

So if I do transplant them into new soil without nutes, what do you think the chances of them living are. And also will there be permanent effects from this incident on the plant? Like will it grow slow forever? Or just until it's adjusted to the new soil and not stressed anymore?

man i don't think you should waste your time with them. buuut if you have no other clones/seeds stick with em its up to you but damn those things look just all around wimpy deff survivors if you can pull it off

Look, they'll probably live but it's gonna take a looong time for them to get back to normal. Just ditch these ladies and get yourself some more seeds. You're just going to waste your time and end up disappointed, trust me.

These plants need 24/0hr cool white(2x4ft) flouresent lighting after they are transplanted. Put the light up about two feet. When they get nice and green again, do it again. Make sure your new dirt is ph balanced prior to installing the plant.

Unfortunately I've got very little money to spend on new seeds, and don't know anybody to get clones from or anything like that. I'll have to stick with these guys and pull through with them or at least try till I get money for new seeds. That is unless you all want to send some seeds my way haha joke. Anways I'm going down right now to pick up some better soil and hope that this all goes well. Cross your fingers for me.

I was thinking about all that and if you don't have enough cash, feel free to use smaller plantpots for now. Just make sure that the soil and the plantpot has good water drainage.

i obviously don't know anything about your lights or set-up but the plants look like they are stretching a lot and have rather small looking leafs. i would suggest florescent lights quite close to you plants for this stage, if thats what you have it looks like you want them a bit closer.
