todays day 40 veg and shes still under 5 inches tall, showed sex a few days ago...anyone have any idea of whats going on?
thanks for the tips man, a buddy came over today and suggested that the plants werent growing in height due to the lights being so close so i thought id run that by you to get a second opinion...but yeha i did know the 6500 blue spectrum deal im just workin with what i got for now lol in the midst of getting a new job (hopefully) its not below 70 but theres a fan always on them im deciding on making one of those c02 sugar water yiest thing in a bottle and have the fan on half the time than it is now. everyone else thanks for the advice..hoag i wish i could easily have a 400w hps system going on but again im workin with what i got. bonjo hopefully its not root heat stress the lights are pretty close to them. so basically i think im gonna raise the light on one side hopefully to stretch it a little. i need to get it out of the pot the fan leaves are up against the walls of the potThey don't look bad, they just need some tweaking. Looks like you have the nute-problem under control, also. Aside from needing some perlite add to the soil,(for drainage/aeration)...light, is what you're lacking, mainly. Every light that is more than 3" from the plants, is basically, doing nothing. Adjust your's closer, add more, etc....anything will help. Also, if you add more, try and go with some spectrum closer to 6,500K(blue), which'll help the veg process. The 2,700K's work fine, but aren't ideal. You probably already know that?
How about temps and humidity? It isn't below 70*, is it? That'll slow 'em down, as well.
That is not entirely true. I have a plant that is 3.5ft tall done with 150w of cfls. People have actually had great success vegging and flowering with cfls. There are more advantages to CFLs than there are disadvantages. As with HPS and MH there are more advantages. Its all in the lights.. Its all in the lights.... (chubbs, happy gilmore)
I cant reccomend everyone on this forum stop using fluo's because they have a full spectrum and they are readily avaible at stores. pros being said first, heres the Con, They do not contain spectrum that is powered by usable plant light. Your plants can use very little and what they cant use works against them. Since there is very little to begin with when your dealing with fluos, your plant cannot build itself properlt to feed itself properly adn you will lose a lot of your time with little to nothing (or worse if you get name brand nutes for fluos). Just type "hydroponics (City) (state) " on google and buy your self a 400w Mh ballast and see what happens. Its the best way to start.
Um,...While that may be true, you are implying that they are a better choice than HID. The only drawbacks to HPS(for example), is heat, when compared to CFLs. HPS are way more efficient, watt for watt, and have way more intensity. Actually, if you were running 400 watts CFL, they'd put out as much heat as a 400 HPS,(maybe more) just spread out over a larger area. The CFLs have the advantages of spreading out the heat signature, and convenience of placement, I'll admit. But, that's about it.That is not entirely true. Sorry, I mis-read that. Okay....I agree.lolAs with HPS and MH there are more advantages
