She looks like she's starting to finish. Id give her two weeks of plain water at this point. Maybe even 48 hrs. of darkness after that also.

Hey Steff! When it really comes down to it, you look at the Trichome colors of your nugs, not the hairs(as I think thats what your refering to). Usually a good rule of thumb is when the hairs are 50% or more of the buds then its fully mature, but this isn't always the case. From the looks of your pics, your plant def. seems far from finished, However, you harvest by the color of the Trichomes, not the specific time mentioned for said strain, this is more of a guide line as many variables and change this. You can get a 60x-120x microscope for like 15-20 bucks on amazon. You put that up to your nugs, focus on the trichomes, and harvest by the color. Heres a list that I use as a guide.

Do you mean let her grow another 2 weeks then leave in the dark for 2 days?
Yes two weeks of plain water to flush her clean. Then two days of total darkness. You should take a few small bottom nugs now, dry for 3 days, and smoke. I usually have a little sample to test potency.

The Trichomes are the white little crystals you see on weed. The picture I showed above, is what it looks like magnified, and the colors and consistency will determine which type of high it'll be. You just look for a frosty part of your nugs and put the scope right up to it, look for the little long "bulbs/mushroom like caps" that will look exactly like the pictures above. Yes you look at them every few days near the end of flowering, and then harvest when it's the desired color, you will in fact slowly see it change.

To everyone else thanks for your likes and appreciation, I always love to spread the love/knowledge of growing, and the recognition and thanks is always appreciated on my end as well. Good luck!

From the picture I assume you mean you have been flowering for 8 weeks. Plant is well into flowering mode by the pistils. Vertical growth usually stops when a plant starts flowering. Have you been "adjusting" the plant in regards to it's position under the light? Sometimes if you move a flowering plant around it will twist and turn as it attempts to follow the light. Any other "growth" is anamolous.

Good luck, BigSteve.
