yeah people always say that but ive had substance abuse problems in the past and i want something to remind me of where id been and how far ive come. just a little friendly reminder to myself. and to help keep me on the right path

Dude... yeah, they reek like shit... I have totally stopped the whole tongue in ear thing with my lady since she got them...
The reason they stink is because skin sheds, and when it has nowhere to go it starts to smell... The same reason people with piercings get cheese in them, nipple piercings for example... After the skin heals it begins to shed just like any other skin, and if the skin flakes build up and dont get cleaned out, they begin to smell like rotting feet (literally)

i know exactly how u feel bro. i havent had a job since july and its been hell. my gf is paying for shit all the time, u fill out application after application and nothing happends, you stop smoking weekd to pass a drug test but you still cant catch a break.................. i fuckin hate it. hang in there bud. things will get betterSo after months and months of not having a job, i finally got a phone call from a friend that works at one of the local golf courses. He told me he needs someone to work with him for 4 days a week. Im totally down so i tell him ill come in tomorrow to meet the boss (today is the day). He calls me to make sure im coming in but then he tells me that i CANNOT wear jeans. I guess its frowned upon at a snobby golf course. So thats one thing that frustrates me because i own nothing but jeans haha. Then he calls back to tell me that the main boss wouldnt be down for my gauges. I have 1/2" holes in my ear lobes......i FUCKING knew it. I told him id take them out for the job but still....no go.
So im sitting here waiting to go to class, but still have no job. God fuck.
On top of this, i got my old job back for about a week last month after my friend quite for something else, but of course, he couldnt handle his own shit and he never ended up getting the other job, so he comes back 4 days later and I GET THE FUCKIN BOOT. After he quits?!?!
AND THEY NEVER PAID ME. I clocked in and everything and I go there to pick up the check but "sorry theres nothing here for you, come in later and talk to the boss"
fuckin A......now i know why people go on shooting spree's.

I can say with complete honesty that I certainly would not hire you just on the gauges alone. Appearance is quite important in most lines of work. Personally I could care less, but my customers do. that trumps everything.
Until you change your appearance I can pretty much guarantee you are destined for many positions in the food and beverage industry, construction, random manual labor, or landscaping. Basically more tolerable lines of work where there is not a whole lot of face time with customers....
The sooner you ditch the ear va-jay-jay's the sooner you'll have a chance and landing a job making some real money. Gotta grow up sometime.... UNFORTUNATELY.
There is always work out there, it's just up to you to go out and find it. When I was younger I never went a day without work and I was by no means a prize employee. Go out and get yourself at least one decent pair of slacks, hell, they can be cacky cargos, as long as they are not jeans.... Get a decent shirt, something plain and boring as fuck with a collar.... and grab yourself a pen. Now go to every single place you can possibly think of. hiring sign or not. Pick a day, go out, and fill out as many applications as you possibly can. A few places will probably give you on the spot interviews. chances are if you do this, you'll come home with at least one or two prospects.... and something is better than nothing when you have no money coming in. Don't be picky, unfortunately if you choose to be unpresentable in an employers eyes you have no place being picky.
I'm sure you'll find something if you really want too. I've been around the block enough to know if you really wanted a job, you would probably have one by now. People go for extended periods not working because most are not willing to "settle" for something. What they fail to realize is a paycheck from mcdonalds goes alot further than whining about no paycheck at all from their chosen field of work.

oh yeah, and that "grow your hair longer" idea is a good one. I myself hired a kid last year who pulled this exact same thing...
A few weeks later when he had his hair cut however I fired him. I did not want too, but customers complained and he refused to remove them and was no longer able to cover them. You may get luckier though...
