Above is a picture of a friends puppy and below is my dog.

My friend is giving his dogs the raw BARF diet and thinks it's great. His Pitbulls have allergies which is plain to see.

My dog had an awful allergy to chicken so after speaking to girl in the park with a blue pit also, I immediately took her advice to switch to fish and rice. Results were amazing. My dogs fur grew back, no more red spots or itching.

So upon advising him of this miraculous discovery, he still insists his dogs are fine and that I SHOULD PUT MY HEALTHY PIT ON HIS DIET!! WTF?

I think he's trying too hard, so hard in fact that he's blinded by the poor results.

Great looking pup, LH.

It's a shame that a vet hasn't taken a look at your friend's dog's coat and suggested his diet be changed. Any moron can own a dog, unfortunately.

Some might say that's a real 'pity'. there I said it.

He's looking very silly on FB right now coz as I'm arguing my case I've uploaded pics of my dog to compare. Anyone that reads it will see that my dog is much healthier than his 3!

He's very stubborn and has a low IQ. He's also partially disabled (polio) so I'm very patient with him. Known him for 20 years now.

I should show him pics of monty before the fish and rice change. Then he can compare the signs.

It's a big shame. The only reason I'm better off is coz of that girl in the park telling me. So I spread the news..

It is a big shame, but I think you're going the right thing by sticking with the suggestion. It's an uphill battle if he doesn't think there's anything wrong with his dog's current condition, though.

He's still trying to argue wi me on FB. He even wrote that if dogs are fed properly they should live til 20-27 yrs!!! No mention of what breed even! I've only known one dog that was 19 and he was a sausage dog! He's even claiming to have helped others with their dogs! Is love to see pics! Lol

So until I post the 'before' pics of monty, which I have very few of due to how bad his allergy was, I shan't continue. My final post was 'if your diet is so great then why does my dog look better?'

I also disagreed with large mammal bones like cows. Correct me if I'm wrong coz I like to know what others think too. I think the pitbull jaws can cope with one ton mammal bones but not the teeth. However, he clearly has bigger problems than just this.

20-27 years?! That's unlikely even for a cat. Dude's talking crazy.

Ikr? That's why I've given up.

Anyone who reads it (FB) will at least see that my case of some dogs being allergic to chicken has been proven by the pics.

Simple fish and rice complete food, bit of salmon oil and some white fillet fish cooked here and there. Simple and how I feed my plants also! Lol it works! However I'll always be grateful to that girl who told me.

@lahadaextranjera you mean like giving your dog large bones to chew on? TC
I'm cautious. Here's why. I bought the vavuum packed cooked bone from the pet shop and he threw it up. Loads of broken pieces of bone. Then recently on FB a woman's dog died because the shards tore the stomach lining. Maybe that would've been Monty had he not been sick and vomited. They are a no no.

However raw bones are not know to shatter like this. most people know that poultry bones are lethal. Especially when cooked.

His jaws are unbelievably strong, he's a pitbull. But what about the enamel on his teeth? In the wild would they be taking down buffalo or feast on sheep and pigs. Idk. Seems logical. One ton animals have very dense bones.

So, I even inspect the fish I cook for small bones. I'd never buy a pet shop Cooked bone again. It could've killed him.

He has his Kong chews and we play with sticks (also cautious). I don't feel the need to give him more than the lamb bone leftover from dinner for example.
