ph too high?

all of them are 30 days old, we've been measuring ph using a tincture but that has proven to be a very poor method. i've bought a ph meter and i'm watering them with 6.5 but before this i was watering them at 6.7-7.5 (can't know for sure) do you guys think it's a ph issue?

Hi Gary,
So what's the scoop? Media. nutes. water and all that. I see several different things that aren't perfect. The one with mottled yellow patches could be Mg ralated. The first shot shows a little burning like maybe too much nutes. Anyway...nothing concrete that cries out ph.

i've added mor pics.
avg feed for veg is:
1.5ml x liter of calcium/magnesium
4ml x liter of veg nutrient (national brand if you want i can tell you whats in it)
1ml x liter of root nutrient (national brand if you want i can tell you whats in it)
the water is the filtered water I drink, nothing fancy but not tap water either.
the media is a grow soil pre made by some growshop
the lights are 300w x 11 BXEB-L0560Z-35E2000-C-B3
the grow area is 60cm x 90cm (2foot by 3foot)


we figured mg and since the whole ph thing and the fact that ph has a direct incidence o mg absorption. i've added some trichoderma harzianum which in theory should improve mg availability and absorption, well have to see how that goes...

Gary,
Generally soil growers don't need to get too hung up on Ph. Ph 6.5 to 7.5 is fine...though guys that do test and adjust usually shoot for the lower end. The mycos will help mostly with P absorption. Just be careful to not overfeed. Way more harm is done doing that.

Depending on what's in the soil...you may not need to feed so much. Maake sure you're on a wet/dry cycle and maybe do water water feed...repeat. Lots of guys use that schedule.

And if you don't get improvement in a few days...back off and re-group. The calmag dose should solve it in a few days unless you're getting some sort of lockout.

One more thought Gary...what sort of temps and humidity are you running? Septoria starts out as yellow lef spots. It's a fungus and relates to high RH and not enough ventilation.

they've always been brown spots never yellow. and they've been on the plants since their first few days. the spots are iregular shaped not round and they appear not in the lower leaves but instead on the top ones.
