ok ok I got held up with findopey for a bit...now i'll go check it.
Ph keeps trending back to 7...ppms too low?

well sure enough! ph up at high enough concentrations does read on an ec meter....interesting.
how many gallons of the stuff are you adding though? I mean it would take a LOT
and to answer your question on nutes being mixed...
I'm pretty sure the nutes you are using are synthetic. The synthetics I have used don't drop out of suspension once mixed so I doubt this is your problem.
Botanicare does drop out though and needs stirring.

I use botanicare and I disagree with the dropping out. I run 50gal res's and I will let them sit 3-5 days at a time without checking and ppm before and after stirring them will only vary by 20-30ppm.

every time I ran botanicare...which was for like three years there would always be a bunch of shit on the bottom of my rez.

I'm not adding as much ph down as I would think should read on the TDS -last adjustment was about 1.5 ml. I think total accumulation could though -I mean I'm adding way more down than ive ever needed to so yeah it's apparent SS, snaps & others are right...I've gotta up the ppms a bit more & see how that does. Going to 600 didn't seem to bother them

most likely is so. odd tho to me. if it were that far off it seems like it would show on the plants relatively quickly...especially in nft.
edit: doh! I checked the ec on the ph up...not down. I'll check that after bit
it'll probably be the same way tho i'm guessing if not worse as ph down goes a lot farther than the up.

And you will get that with botanicare, but what drops is usually stuff that is already saturated in the res. I have it also but it doesn't really affect the ppm count in the big picture.

maybe, but I do recall having to add nutes several times during a rez life to maintain my levels. I also attributed the serious root problems I had to this extra junk. this is just an educated guess though...nothing concrete
This is why I'd like to try my nft tubes again with the dyna gro nutes to see how things fare with them....
no gd room for my stinkbud system tho unfortunately .
I did a check of the ec of ph down when I was out earlier and it definitely raises ec substantially. I put like 4-5 drops in a couple ounces of purified water and my ec went straight from 0.0-0.6
I was shocked it moved the ec that far quite frankly. for that little of an amount.

Ok well it seems 700ppm is the magic number though I believe I'm pushing the limits of what the plants can take. Ph has been stable since upping the nutes. Plants are lush and dark green but getting shiny. Also found that in fact I do need to churn up my res after a change or wait awhile to let it run & mix it all up. I'm leaving it here til the next res change & adding back only water. Thanks for all the help guys RIU is the best grow info site hands down & it's because of you

I just had a similar issue with pH rising. After upping ppms and changing my water it seems to have leveled out. Water naturally wants to maintain original pH so you need to have enough buffer to change short term memory. Least that's how I look at it.

Yes and I find having more gallons rather than less helps a lot too. Have not touched it since last week -ph is stable -but because I planted autos they are already budding out & now I'll need to switch over to the bloom nutes

Thanx but now that I've got the res dialed in the autos decided they want to have flowers now...gotta switch over to bloom nutes earlier than planned but I think this next res change will go a bit smoother. Put in the HPS the other day- seemed to make them happy. So impressed with NFT growing...they are bursting with energy
