I don't man. Look at the bath salt zombies. My community was hit hard. Once it was off the store shelves there has been an abrupt decline in the craziness that went along with it. And morality is enforced everyday, I'm sure there are more than a few people that would kill someone if not for the consequences of the action. I know I'm on the minority side here when I say that I don't agree that wide open legalization of every substance should be made. Cannabis yes. Crack and bath salts being sold at the local pharmacy not so much. That's just me.
Killing a person isn't a moral issue, it's infringing on that persons right to live. Morality is tried to be enforced everyday, how is that working out for us? It's not. I wouldn't say your in the minority on full legalization, most people share your view that I have talked to.
Bath salts had somewhat of a upstart here, then it was back to meth. We outlaw the "safe" chemicals in our country, so people build labs in the woods under tarps and use brick cleaner, starting fluid, ect. I have cleaned up about 20 of those, its not a fun job. You can't even buy sudefed without a 3rd degree by some dink behind a counter now. It does make people do horrible things. One of the most bothersome things in my career was walking into a house and finding a baby in a microwave dead. The guy was so tweaked out he didn't notice he hit the on button.
Same with heroin. It's awful to watch kids get hooked on the stuff, even worse when a young girl gets hooked because of some jackass boyfriend.
What if it was regulated? We would have more control than we do now. What if we used the money we blow on prohibition for treatment. Most addicts are not bad people, they have just lost control. It's far more humane than throwing a person in jail for some manditory sentence.
