man i love this show. seen em all. i moved onto some similar ones, i really love storage wars and auction kings as well.. really great shows along the same lines with the same vibe. lots of awesome finds. i tried hardcore pawn saw a few episodes and its ok, but i like these other 3 shows way more. i tried american pickers too but meh.

Well this thread got more replies than i though. I really liked those tribe coins that were fused together under the sea and was worth at least a million dollars! The shelby cobra shocked the shit outa me. Damn when it was done was beauuutiful

Oh yeah that reminds me of that chest with the hidden keyhole on top, with the key that unlocked like 6 bolts inside. That thing was badass! I want to get me one of those!!

i'd just go to pawn stars to know what to charge the next person.

for example, if the pawn guys want to give me 3,000, i know i'll sell it somewhere else for 5,000.... lol...

Thats a good point I dont know why more people dont do that. Especially when an expert comes in and tells them exactly what its worth, and the shop offers half. I would be like SEE YA head right to the local auction house.

I always thought you know if the pawn guys wont give you a price thats closer to the experts bottom number than you think they should and they give the line "well, this isnt a *whatever* specialty store"......I'd go talk to the expert who does have a *whatever*specialty store who gave the estimate and see what they would give me.
I think the haggling is what hooks me into the show, trying to guess what each one will say next and thinking "no man! hold out for another hundred! you can push em up higher than that!".

one of my favorite parts was when the guy had sammy davis's movie collection(i believe it was that scene, i could be getting it mixed up but i dont think so). and rick says something like "well, it's kind of like saying ive got bill clintons old lawn mower, it sounds cool but it doesnt automatically make it valuable."
that made me laugh quite a bit.
