I've never experienced opiate withdrawal. But I've taken klonopin for over 7 years. I've tried to quit many times. Withdrawal can last a couple years with benzos. You'll lose friends, they'll think you're just crazy. Be glad you don't have to withdraw from benzos. I'd gladly go through a couple weeks of hell to get off of benzos. Gladly.

Then you don’t take a lot, or you haven’t used it for long. There’s no avoiding the physical opiate withdraw symptoms without titrating down. And it’s hell. Just be sure not to mistake “haven’t” with “won’t,” for your sake.

Benzos can kill you via seizures if you quit cold turkey.

I was on opiate pain management for about 4 months 8 years back for a TBI. I was lucky and didn't suffer from any major withdrawal. Benzos, on the other hand, I wish I had never asked my doctor for them. I fear I'll be taking them the rest of my life due to the severity of its withdrawal...It's amazing to me they are prescribed as freely as they are. Doctors are in complete denial regarding just how severe and lengthy withdrawal is, even after titration.

Been taking valium and opiates for years now, but I keep the valium for "absolutely necessary only" use, use the opiates as little as I can get away with, and take regular breaks from both just the addictive side of things doesn't get a grip (which is where weed comes in, but I got to watch my tolerance levels on that) so I try to do a month or two on meds, then a month without them to get the tolerance down.

Learned the lesson years ago after too much regular use of Tr*madol, can't go near that stuff now because of too much in the past, same with various other painkillers, got to take regular breaks or I end up eating the damn things like Smarties.

I still remember the first time I tried kratom.
I was out of weed for a few days.

After taking it I realized my eyes were getting all squinty and fucked up looking like they when you just start out smoking weed.
Then the nice stoned vibe set in. Was a great afternoon.
Were can u get good kratom cuts @????

Kratom contains Mitragynine and 7-Hydroxymitragynine. These are caffeine derivatives with partial affinity for the Mu, Delta, and Kappa opioid receptors, except they don’t cause respiratory depression, so you can’t fatally overdose, you’ll just puke (which vomiting up really bitter powderized leaf matter can be worse, for some people.) Mitragynine is 1/10 the potency of Morphine. 7-Hydroxymitragynine is 17x more potent than Morphine. Concentrations in powdered leaf is like, 1-5(?)% Mitragynine, 0.45-0.55% 7-OH-Mitragynine.
People die from choking on their own vomit after taking heroin so I don't see that a fatality isn't possible with that substance.

People die from respiratory depression more commonly than aspirating their vomit when we’re talking opiates. Kratom’s alkaloids don’t cause respiratory depression. Also, if someone aspirates their vomit, cause of death is aspiration, not the effects of the drug. In any case, it hasn’t happened thusfar, and “what ifs” aren’t a sound basis for illegalizing anything.
