Over Cloning and Lost Potency

I like this topic I have been saying this for a long time always getting shot down . that's why you plant a seed keep that plant and keep cloning off the mother plant never lose the genetics. people say im full of shit lost genetics after cloning a clone. and doing it again .
You're not full of shit because you don't/can't lose genetics.

The gist of the thread is that when you take a cutting of a plant the cells begin to replicate to make up for the lost plant matter. While you're hoping for roots sometimes during the replication process a mutation occurs called a chimerism. This rare mutation can potentially slightly alter the genetic make up of your plant. This slight genetic change will alter a characteristic of your plant but not necessarily potency.

Basically, DNA is never lost, only changed.
