Other Side of the Fence...Where the Grass is Always Greener

I like Prosperian's point about sealing the floor, and making it easier to clean as well. Imagine that coming out of Prosperian, J/K. The floors in all the grow tents are always white, mine is. I like to put stick lights under my girls canopies to keep them lit from underneath. It seems to keep her vegetation in the center of the plant happier, and green. If she's a thick bush it will keep some of her leafs from turning yellow, and self pruning, and falling off sometimes. I'm pretty sure leafs will react to light, and photosynthesize from either side. I've also heard this can help with molds, and such, but am skeptical about all that though. I almost got one of those Hydrofarm xxxl hoods, but went with the Sunlight Supply Blockbuster instead cause of the perfectly square footprint it has. The Hydro xxxL's were next on my list though cause of their big @$$ footprints. Nice hoods bro. If I remember correctly their bigger than the SunSup Magnum xxxL's right, and for a better price too? Those are just beautiful Slip. Nice thick stems to support all the coming weight . Good stretch too, and we all know how the lsd fills in. I noticed you took out the extra cfl you always use to have in your grow, just decide you didn't need it with the new led rig? Your ladies are looking great man, keep it up, and the temps down, LOL. yea steam´s are really ticking up specially on the main top`s and side shots are growing up from every where, might become my best run so fare (knock on wood`s) and stretch seem to have slowed down, after 8-9 day`s dunno might just be Bc. I need to move up the panels don't want to tho, like to have 1 inch Nod`s

and pistil`s is peaking out everywhere

and yea with the new/extra LEDs I can cover em easily, no need to use 60W more on CFL´s well atleast no yet, I´ll safe em along with my 600W HPS, you never know


Ooh yea and temps is great now, 24C at pot level and 26C at the top of the canopy

I hear ya, why have a bulb burnin when there's no need. Your temps sound perfect if I'm doing the conversion math right in my head. I like to keep my light source as close as possible without problems as well. If I could get my ladies to where lights like hats I would, LOL. As long as I can avoid bleach, burn, and light stress it's as close as I can get it. Why have em all stretched out, and falling over in the end, you know. Peace out.

Slip, are your running any small fans directed at the canopy? I'm not seeing any signs from my plants that I need it, but I have one in there just in case. Just wondering if you found a need with the LEDs.

not really, had a small one in there when we had the heat wave, but after that was over I cut it agin, I just direct the air flow so it pass my plants the 6" ventilation make sure it get plenty of fresh air

Ok, that helps with my decision. Doesn't appear to need it. My LEDs are pulling the heat up through the fixture with two built in fans. The air flow is passing from below the plants up to the exhaust fan. Cool, thanks.

I smoked the auto Diesel last night. That lifted my spirits. I was surprised by the potency from this strain and it has a great lemon citrus flavor. Not bad with a couple beers.

What's up guys???I'm chillin,same ol same ol, can't keep tinkering with my closet.I hung my new diy fixtures,attached the ducting to exhaust into the attic.my temps are 5° over ambient.If my room is 72 the closet is 77......i think im getting it dialed in....theres still a couple things I want to add.

...top view,cleaned up the wiring and plugs

Other than these changes,nothing new.I'm the boring,shy type......and it conveys over to my online persona too!That's just mepeace

Nice job on the fixture bro. I would hang those in my closet! I need some of those jumper connector wires for the fluors. Had a nice temp drop outside as well.

Didn't you get the Lights Of America t5s from wally mart?If so,the little connector wire should have came with it,mine did/do.I have 7 of them,the 23" 14w t5s.

Yeah, I think those are the ones. But no jumpers were included. I'm sure I can find them at Altex.
