Optimizing dimmablle ballast

Quick question for the more experienced I have two dimming 1000 watters over a 4x8.

I currently have 1 week clones and am running them at 50%. Should i just run these closer to the plants until i'm in flower and save the energy or turn them up to 1000 as soon as i can and keep them as close as i can without bleaching?

Any thoughts would be great

i dont really dim my phantom down unless its toooo hot...are the babies well established? then blast them, if not then baby them a bit untill they take off would be what i would do
