well, you didn't let me know you were adding more light.

still flower now. they'll double in height and you'll have wal to wall buds. those cobs won't go more than 18" deep imo.
ok...i appreciate it @rkymtnman ...your opinion is really worthy to me... tomorrow i'll add the other cobs and flower them these days.

and to really do a true scrog, you only need 2 plants in that tent. start them at one side and let them weave all the way to the other

Hello rky... maybe you can help me with the scrog...you seem to know your thing.
Actually i have just two plants in the tent... so maybe it is still doable... what ya think???
I'm in doubt...To flower or not??? Scrog or no scrog?
i just watered the ladies today...4.5Leach with 20%runoff @ 660ppm and 5.7PH... pots were really light...they really need water much more frequently...i'll go for every other day from next feeding even though probably every day feeding will be necessary really soon.
Runoff was good...ph stable @5.7-5.8 and ppm maybe a little bit high @700ppm but last two feedings have been around 740ppm and also tha fact that they dried a little bit resulted in this...
Overall they look better... what do you think???
20160611_021006.jpg
i still feel i can do better in terms of keeping them healthier...
20160611_021103.jpg
i was asking myself if it is time to flip them to flower since they are at a good point but i really wanted to scrog them so i am a little undecided.... the two of them are not that tall as you can see...
Side Cut.jpg
and i put my screen anyway...my idea is to let them grow about 5 to 7 days more and then flip...
i will have to work a little on them to help the canopy stay even and also to provide them with a lot of fresh air but i think i can do that...
keeping the scrog obviously but maybe some tips and some advice would help me get a better decision.
with the screen...

Thanks for investing your time in this thread.
Cheers to all

Time for an UPDATE....
Overall Health Is Good in my opinion..
20160614_012359.jpg
just about to flip to 12/12 but noticed some familiar leaf necrosis...
i had seen some small flying insects in the tent which were quick motherfuckers...just a few of them...bought an insecticide from local store and used some weeks ago...today saw them again...and sprayed again...will repeat in a few days but i can't identify this bastards...
Bug Zoom 3.jpg
are they fungus gnats????
Bug Zoom S..jpg
or are they some kind of winged aphid????
Motherfucker....jpg
can they cause this damage...or is this nute related... or possibly PH related????
this is happening only to this one leaf for now...strange...
Damaged Leaf.jpg
same leaf...what is strange is that only this leaf has this kind of damage... controlled all the plant and saw nothing else fortunately ...
20160614_012148.jpg
i saw this kind of damage my first grow also...it turned out not that bad considering the errors that i made...
This is a link to my DIY Led Drone and its performance: http://rollitup.org/t/first-diy-growled-and-help-needed.866207/page-3

I'm Finding it hard to understand when to flip to flower... this scrog is making me go crazy...
it looks like i have to wait a little bit more... but then i think that they will stretch... i really need some input regarding this topic...

okay bro i c ur going thru the blue with scrog help lol

u should flip the switch man...based off the height i c in ur pics and the way ur canopy is spread they will fill out the screen as u flip..once u flip them 12-12 then the shoots tht are coming thru first just tuck them under and over the scrog so the ones below catch up..keep doing tht and ur canopy will fill out greatly even..dont wait till u have a shoot in each hole of ur scrog..just seeing tht there is one below almost each one is enough..tht way ur scrog net is not moot or pointless..u let them grow too far in the scrog holes and u killed the point and even if like i do and add a second layer of scrog,i dont think tht will be practical based off ur height limits...also keep in mind tht u want about 18 inches on room between cobs and canopy..i run the same light i9 built and they are extremely strong...what led me to ur thread was i was looking to c if anyone else is having bleaching going on under these cobs..i c the cobs demand more cal/mag from the pics im seeing around..i upped the lights ,dimmed a little and upped the cal/mag and boom doing better...anyways,i would flip now bro...and as this grow is done u will have knowledge of the priceless kind through experience ..ive been growing for a decade now..and new to the led style but i would def hit the trigger on flower ryt now..and im a production grower and always shooting for best yield,so om not just telling u to flip for nothing,,,u will be happier flipping now then later imo..i woldnt let them veg for longer then another week after tht pic above was taken...just my 2 cents to try and help u out,i hope it turns out well and keep the cal/mag deficiencies on point thruout the grow...seems the more intense better spectrum is requiring more food,imo...best of luck bro:bigjoint::peace::peace:

this is what i was looking for ... a very good and logical piece of advice. i just set them on 12/12.
the picture above was made 2 days ago and tomorrow they start their flowering cycle...
everything you said makes a lot of sense and the fact you are running the same light makes it even better. my light as of now is some 16 inches far from canopy... and they love every 2 days feeding... i probably need to flush these days ... i would like to do that before going to flower nutes...maybe after some transition feedings.
this is only my second grow and i just lack the experience in terms of growing techniques and how the girls react regarding the strech...my last grow they stretched really really a little ...so i was trying to grow them a little bit over the screen before flipping.
will post some pictures later:peace::peace:.
thank u bro:bigjoint:

lol im usually the opposite, tryna slow the stretch down...Bio-Cozyme 15ml/Gallon Foliar reduces stretch in first 3 weeks..something to put in ur memory banks..
another little secret to getting them to stretch more is to Raise ur lights a lil for 2 weeks..what that does is cause them to reach for tht par photons..but ur pretty much gonna double tht size quick..as far as transitioning to flower ,i never flush ,,,its known to throw ur plants off a bit from feeding to nothing to feeding,u know...what i do is still feed veg nutes the first week(which should do if u want more stretch, and then hit them with a tea feeding to aat up all those veg nutes and next feeding starting the flower nutes...i use canna as a base nute if tht helps any..but Again,if flushing then feeding works for u then by all means dont break what works...thts the great thing about this plant ,there r so many ways and methods tht work ..and alot will work for u and not for alot of ppl and vice versa...during veg i like to focus on Root Growth over all..Obviously training how i like for my room but root growth is everything bro...u get tht ryt then in flower they Explode!! and thts a fact...beneficials are the way to go imo if ur not on it...i cnt wait to c u go thru this grow..esp flowering now..ill sub and make sure im here with u every step as much as i can homie..this is what this community should be about..i had years ago ppl hep me and im just tryna pass the love, and hopefully u do the same..we r all in this together..it gets frustrating on these boards sometimes cuz u cnt just reach out and slap the sht outta someone so u gotta deal with the arrogance, pride, and know it alls who can debate sometimes pretty good but most likely cry pretty hard when u smack em lol...the cyber world huh lol...for ur second grow ur doing great man...read up on bennies and teas..they will save ur grow and turn a good grow great...stay on ur IPM and ur golden..those are very important...I Use Recharge and Mammoth P and will never stop those in my regimen,ever...anyways,im out ,i get on once evry day or 2 so im always around if ya need me...post them pics and im there to watch,,and o ya ive noticed with these cobs these girls eat alot and require more cal/mag definitly..weird...stay green and peace:peace::blsmoke:

still looking good!

to answer your scrog question:
let's take one plant
your screen is a square. your plant would want to start out at the 6 oclock postion of your screen. you let it grow up at 6 oclock and as it grows you weave it in and out of the screen. it will start growing towards the 12 oclock position. you keep weaving the plant in and out and when it almost gets to the 12 oclock position you flip to 12/12 and all of your bud sites will now have access to full light.

right now, your screen is really just going to be used as a support for the buds. you have such an even canopy you accomplished the same thing as a scrog.
make sense?

just keep using veg nutes until they are done stretching. then i give mine a 24hr flush of plain water and then start on bloom nutes which is Lucas formula for me.

@rkymtnman and @dro-man80 thank you guys...
just flipped the timers...tomorrow is day 1 of flower...
it was really difficult getting those branches at the right places and moving around...but this is the result.
20160616_010333.jpg
will work consistently these firsts week to keep an even canopy...
20160616_010411.jpg
i also defoliated a little and lollipoped branches... overall they look healthy... and i'm curios myself to see how these girls will turn out...whats sure is they will get maximum attention...
20160616_010434.jpg
Now there is more light penetrating the canopy and i tried not to create holes through it by removing to much leaves...

thanks for the help guys...:bigjoint:

I read a very interesting article from some pretty reliable resources that says a good way to control stretch as well is to make it hotter during lights off than it is lights on. I know it's hard for a lot of people to do that but if you can I heard great things about controlling the stretch.

UPDATE...and still in need of some HELP regarding HEALTH...
20160620_021338.jpg
Overall they look a little bit yellow... don't know why...
20160620_021411.jpg

i'm feeding just like i was...around 650ppm and 5.7ph.
temps are ok and so is humidity...there is a lot of air on canopy because otherwise a lot of dew forms between leaves...i'm seeing rusty spots again and some damage which is extending in all leaves... although slowly...
Rust and dew.jpg

Damage 2.jpg
Damage 4.jpg

scrog is really dense ...
20160620_021402.jpg

do i need to lollipop a little more???
or defoliate??? what do you guys think?
do i need to let them grow from here????
or should i continue to train under the screen for some more days????

I think a Flush is on the way...even though my runoff is around the same ppm that goes in and PH just a little bit higher, which may be caused by tap water that evaporates chlorine... whats your opinion???

this usually happens to older leaves at the bottom...but this is a big fan leaf on top of canopy...
it may be caused from high humidity??? is it some sort of mold??? i think it is.
have you ever had this symptoms???
Damage 3.jpg
I Hope to get these problems under control with your help because i think they will not turn out really good as this problems persist.

hey brothaman, for some reason i cant c the pics ,o wait i c them now...okat bro from my experience with that issue of the serrated edges curling up was always 1 of 2 things....First,was Heat Burn...if my temps were good and wind not crazy on the girls ,then it was usually a pottasium issue, lack of...being that Potassium fights for nutrient uptake a little with other nutrients u might wanna feed a little extra potassium such as kelp foliar, seaweed foliar,etc....did u add any amendments to ur coco?? such as bone meal,or fish meal,or phosphorous??i found tht using Bioag Fulvic in Foliar with seaweed really gets my girls back on track....
now the irony of all this is that after i put the transplanted clones in the cob veg room tht alot of mines did the exact same thing, which leads me to believe they may have a connection to COBS..now tht my feedings are more up to par with how im noticing girls under COBS like more food and drink faster,im noticing tht they are adjusting and only a few have these and new growth is coming along healthy without it...so maybe brother u should try the foliar route and cut back a little on the cal/mag for a feeding or two and see how they recover from a foliar...i use teas alot and beneficials and tht kinda solves alot of issues too...example ...Orca,Recharge,Hydoguard,Great White,OG BioWar Root Pack,,,......

try a tea or foliar mix i described and c if tht helps...u will get a great looking harvest from the pis..will weight or yield be up to ur standard or goal ,well thts Subjective to Your Own criteria for what u were tryna acheive...But no doubt will your grows get better and better and better...we get hiccups,we drink water and keep on pushing,,,one thing about this plant ,this girl is if u give her your heart she will no doubt show u hers(:
keep me posted ,im very interested in how this works out for u and staying up to date with how its looking...for now stay green my friend,,,,and Peace and Love:peace::leaf::weed:

@dro-man80, thanks man...the fact you are keeping an eye here is really appreciated.
UPDATE...
Today is day 6 of flower...
Canopy 1.jpg
they dont look that bad...it looks like they like frequent watering more...
Canopy closeup.jpg
i cut off the majority of under growing branches and defoliated a little for more airflow...
they were really dense and i had a hard time to try and train the canopy at the same level and also which branches to cut off. finally i was half satisfied and i stopped... i think i will do better with time...
but for now i will just let them stretch and do minor work....
What do you think?
Canopy bright.jpg
Canopy Side.jpg

20160623_024146.jpg
i have fed the ladies some fulvic and humic acids....specifically the GH Diamond Nectar but have never foliar fed it. only mixed in with the nutes. Heat and humidity is OK. But i have a fan which is blowing on the top of the canopy...oscillating but moving the top of the branches...Should i raise it a little bit???
i also raised the light an inch ...it shoud be around 15-16 inch now.
Actually these symptoms also started when i changed the cobs from 5000k to 3000k...
Maybe this stressed them a little bit...

I will Post an Update soon...
until then thank u and keep on bongsmilie...

aha lol,,when i changed from 3500 to 3000K i had the same issues,so i think we r on to something lol,or just some really random coincidences haha
i think they look awesome, dont pluck anymore for now.in about 2-3 weeks if a certain fan leave is blocking light from a major bud then pluck it but let nature take her course...and naw keep the fan how u have it,no harm there...around week 3 thru 5 i start to hit with a pk booster but it is not neccesary if u dont...and yes i hve come 2 a conclusion tht girls under cobs eat alot more and rapid..im thinking my clones i take from plants in veg will be better acclimated to the cobs..i really believe the light is just too great at first lol,,,keep me posted bro:peace:o_O

Well this makes a lot of sense.... even though i tried to introduce the new cobs while still keeping the 5000k cxb's.
the first part of the girls that showed these sings were the branches just above the 3000k cxb3070...
and then i changed the two cxb3590 5000k with two equal cobs but 3000k... and suddenly the branches in the middle right under them showed the same stress signs... CAN THIS BE A COINCIDENCE??? Idon't think so???
i have yet to read someone using cobs that has this kind of issues ( except you @dro-man80 of course)
do we know of something similar and if there is a way to remedy this? or avoid it ?

hey there brother,,,i think ur girls look great..man good job just keep it up...u can safely foliar until about week 3 then i would chill on spraying anything on flowers...ya i think from my experience and now urs tht it has something to do with the 3000k ,,,but i also dont know if maybe just the 3000 is too strong over the 3500k...but i know on our next run we will c..plus im going to be puttin my girls tht r under 3500k under 3000k in about a aweek or 2..so half th room will veg 3500k and the other half will veg 3000k..now if c great growth still then i assume it was just really strong light off rip with the 3000k..we will c soon enough...its good to c tht its not just me and i am confident its not a major issue...again i feel like the girls will adjust to the cobs after cutting our first set of clones...and i say tht because a few of my girls i transplanted were vegging already under cobs and the clones have not had any issues whatsoever even under the 3000k...but on to the grow i think ur girls look great...definitely nothing of a noobie looking grow,so keep it up...and really do some reading on beneficials and teas...u will not regret implementing this in ur grows...it almost takes the guesswork out of growing in a sense...okay ready to eat some dinner and spend some time with the wife and kids...take it easy and im digging the grow ,,cnt wait to c what ur blessed with...gonna be fire...what r the genetics again...stay green and peace and love:peace::weed:
