My Meanwell drivers weren't made in China, unless you consider Taiwan to be China.
The Lumileds diodes that are in my HLG QB96's also were not made in China. In fact they were made here in the good old USA:

I'm a strong supporter of labor, so I don't mind paying a little more for quality gear, which keeps my dollars domestic. That's how we keep the american dollar truly strong. Don't get me wrong, I certainly buy my fair share of Chinese manufactured goods, but I do try to support US based companies when possible. Steven at HLG isn't just a middle man charging double to make a quick buck. He's employing a whole bunch of American workers with good salaries, and producing a quality product at a competitive price. The fact is that a HLG 600R cost less than Mars Hydro's newest 600watt fixture.
I do get what you're saying about middlemen marking stuff from China up to make a quick buck, and that drives me nuts too. I just don't think
@Stephenj37826 at HLG is a good target for this frustration. If you wanna take aim of someone who's doing what you're suggesting, I'd be more likely to target
https://lightgeekus.com/ who is clearly just a US reseller who's buying in bulk from China, but trying to look like the manufacturer, while simply marking up the price by hundreds a fixture.
