Looking good! Obviously I am just going from the photos but the Onyx colas look absolutely MASSIVE vs the RW colas? At first I thought the first 2 pics were the RWs based on what you said about devolpment but then I checked the labels, idk, they both look really nice!

Especially that one in the middle on the first photo...huge!
It's hard to tell from the pics but the top of the RW plant also looks larger and more dense.

The RW plant seems to be putting on more weight and it's quite noticeable on the lower half of the plants. I'm surprised that the Onyx plant doesn't have a advantage when it comes to the lower development with more watts and a smaller footprint.
The slightly larger footprint migt be giving the area 51 an advantage. The center top leaves may be getting light saturated more so with the onyx than the area51 wasting some of the light. Just a theory ... the final weights will tell the real story. Its looking really close.

I think your confusing two grows,I had the swivels on the RW and Onyx lights and I added the crees to a XGS grow. I just hung the 2 cree bulbs in each corner and I think all 3 lights would benefit from some added light at the edges of a 3x3 scrog and I think the swivels help even out the coverage.
Correct. I thought you just skipped on the cree side lighting for these grows to test out rotating the lights in comparison and I agree side lighting would be beneficial to any light.
My onyx should be here Thursday or Friday. I picked up 8 of the 2700k 60w soft white crees for the corners yesterday with the 2 way splitters for when I flip. I guess I'll just hang them from lamp cords like these http://www.ebay.com/itm/290577518866?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT in each corner, that's why I wanted to see exactly how you rigged them up as I got the idea from you. This thread is definitely getting me psyched. The girls look plump and beautiful!
I was just going to do 2 plants in the 3x3 free grow trimmed and lollipopped
If I could fit 2 of those cages in my tent then I would definitely want to try that before I try to scrog.
I really want to try mainlining them but I'm super nervous of mucking it up.

I'd give it some more time,it may just be storing up energy for a growth spurt.
Alright all jokes aside captain. My question to you is this. A grower in MI has a GG4 clone that he's selling for xxx bucks that he calls a teen which is 13" in height. If I were to go for it....how would I know if its real? Is there a specific trait in the GG4 I should be looking for to determine its authenticity? Oh BTW he is throwing in 1 gram of GG4 to smoke as a sample. Thanks captain.

You might want to edit out anything about money because it's against RIU rules. A foot tall GG#4 will be a bean pole with a single leaf at each small node that are about 2 inches apart, the side branchings don't start growing till it gets a little taller or you top it. It's main trait that stands out is leaf twist, new leaves will be twisted and straighten out as they mature.

I also started a GG#4 thread in the Michigan section here.

Day 45 update and the trend continues. May not be easy to tell by the pics but up close the difference is even more pronounced this week with the Area 51 plant putting on more weight top and bottom than the Onyx plant, especially the lower buds. First pic is the RW-150

I've yet to do a full grow (flowering) under the Onyx but.. comparing it to my Plant Photonics the Onyx makes the girls
build big flowers much quicker. I may buy another Onyx and have the Plant Photonics hanging on their sides for side growth if the heat isn't too much:)

Or maybe I'll wait until Rapid led brings out V2. A bigger version with Led's spread out more and reflectors would be great.
Or build my own:)
