One plant

Okay I read through some of the posts so please don't be mad if this has been asked before.

Okay basically everyone in my town is dry. I no longer have a dealer. So I'm considering making my own plant. I don't want to spend alot of money, or grow anything big. I just want to grow something for myself without in my family really noticing. Is this possible? If so can I just grow a little plant for myself. Money is not really an issue as I'd be saving money by smoking my own instead of trying to find people around here. Any tips for starting my own small plant. I read how to plant the seeds and everything but then I start to get confused with all the lighting and what not. I would have to do this indoors. So any tips would be nice. Sorry again if there is already a similar post to this.

What kind of room do you have to use? How much do you have to spend on light? What is your budget

Well I have an upstairs closet that would work nicely for lighting and no one noticing. But then again I can just use my bedroom too. There are plent of places in here. I don't want to spend like thosands on lights but I do have a job, so just enough light for a small plant.

well, first understand how long it takes until you can actually harvest your plant.... it takes around 3-5 months. its not too hard to grow, just make sure you have enough light, I'm using 1 CFL on each plant right now. and make sure you have the light about 2 inches away from the plant, otherwise it will stretch and get skinny and fall over easy. you should be more specific in your questions... by the way, My name is Rick... welcome to Rollitup!

Thanks nice to meet you. You have to understand I don't know anything about growing. I just smoke pot everyday. Untill now I really had no need to grow. But if I don't grow theres no more smoking in the future for me. I just need basically alot of advice on how to start. I'm not sure what to really ask..lol

My father should be fine with it he smokes all the time, maybe I should speak to him about keeping the plant in his room. I'm sure he'd be all for it, because without our dealer he does not get to smoke either!

Get your self 4 42watt CFL's. Good starter light's. And a fan for ventilation. Fresh air is just as important as light. The closet might be the spot just make sure it's vented {AIR}.

Ask yer dad. He may be into it and have the funds to get going. I'm "the dad" here..and I grow (however, it is for me, not my kids)...so hey...ya never know!

It's OK to speak about your grow here....but other than your dad...NO ONE ELSE SHOULD KNOW. If you've already talked you've already screwed up. If not..keep quiet about it and tell no one....

READ. READ. READ. Then READ SOME MORE. (read FAQ's, and not the posts until later)

EVERYTHING you need to know is on the cannabis board FAQ's on the net. (this is not the only board)

good luck

Yeah of course I won't tell anyone. I really have no one to tell. lol
I smoke by myself too. I'll discuss it with my father if he agrees to it we'll go ahead and read. I'm good at that. Thanks again everyone for the quick advice!

I personaly use Flour,CFL's,HPS. And for some one just starting out. I recommend CFL's less heat less on the elec, bill easy to use. But yes DOOBs nothing performs like my 1000W hps. Check out my gallery and you will see.

Yes read in growfaq's about germination.
Then I would buy some pots and soil.
I would then buy 4 42w cfl's like Shaman said.
After the seeds have germinated put them in the soil (1 Per pot)
Once they have sprouted into seedlings put under light.
I would say you should go 18/6 for light (18 on).
For starters I would wait until the plant(s) are around 12" before putting into 12/12 for flowering (budding).
Really, most of what you need to know is up in the growfaq's.
It would be better to read it and then ask more specific questions.
