I’d gladly help when it comes time to break out the chain saws!
Plants look amazing as always!

I need to take a trip out there to Portland, see some family members and check out these monsters!

Got a huge Gelato in flower now. I just can't make up my mind,,, try LED or Stick with HID. I do have a Mars Light that claims it can flower up to 5' squared. A 1600 something model. It could have it dedicated to it or a 1000 HID lamp on a short light rail. If it Stays cold,, I'd fire the 1500 up again. But for now she get the best of both worlds as I turn her afew time a night. Sorry bout the lights,, later I'll take her out for photo shoot. But for now just on the hoof shots To lazy and old to drag them out and this stage.. View attachment 4361306 View attachment 4361307
you wont regret if you switch to LED. but i wouldnt get them Mars blurple crap. go the DIY route, irs easier than you think. i have no idea when it comes to electrics and i managed to build two lights.

Right now I'm not sure which light I will use.. The LED is a Mars 1600 which is supposed to throw out a good 5X5 footprint. But still no real penetration. The light was a prize from a contest. And that Gelato is a big plant and is going to need all the light it can find... So,,, I'm going to put it under a 1000 watter HID on a short travel on a light rail. I like to use that rail every grow. Least that way the light will hit your plant at afew different angles.

I have afew other smaller plants that should do well with the LED. They are thinner plants. More on the sativa side.....

Though I use DIY LED's myself for those warmer indoor grows, I believe your gonna have a hard time finding the penetration a 1K HID provides in a Mars. None the less, mother nature definitely has your back on those outdoor beauties you got going.

I agree. @HydroRed I don't think LED will ever match the penetration of the HID. Seeing it is a warmer time of the year I take down my big lights. I usually run 2 1500 watt Master Blaster lamps in there. During the summer months, I drop down to 2 1000 watters.

But seeing I was given the LED for some contests, I figure why not give it a shot? But this Gelato is about one of the largest plants I've flowered in there in bulk size.. Sure had alot of runaway plants that have overstretched during flower onset and overgrown the height department,, BTW who hasn't. But this is a beast. She's going to have the undivided attention of the HID which is in one of them Magnum XXL hoods on a light rail. Man I love them light rails. Even if I only have it move a foot or two. Gives off alot of points of light to different angles of the plant.

You can't beat mother nature for vegging plants. Flowering around here is really hard.. It's not like we get alot of hard sun around here in the fall. Now southern Oregon has a great climate for outdoors. Here where I live PDX is a pocket of wetter, cooler weather. Plants that like lower levels of light thrive. But as short a growing season we have, you best stay away from the hotter loving plants like sativas and hazes. And stick with indica or hybrids.

Man I ended up trying one on last night... Going to take a couple of days to get over it.. Oh well getting old sucks...

Thats what I use are the Sun System air cooled Magnum XXL's. Covered a tight 5x5 sufficiently in a room with ceiling under 90". I can only imagine on a mover.

The mover does help...

I also use a sun system light spreader under my bulb. Does help do away with the 'hot spot' directly under the bulb.......

Fst update.. And time to do a spray regiment just incase I have any bugs hiding in there... Maintenance... Easier to prevent than cure a bug problem. Plants this big you need a good sprayer... I have one of the atomizers that is like a hurricane and does give great coverage...

Ok here's what I have out there.. I did live up to my promises,, that I was downsizing. This is the smallest garden I've had in the last 12 years anyway... No 10 footers... 6' maybe 7' come harvest time.......

Well isn't alot going on here... Doing alittle prevention and sprayed my plants. Plants this size, they are a pain in the ass to get good coverage, so I took a Hudson sprayer and pumped a gallon on a plant till she was as wet as I could get her,, then put another gallon on with the hurricane maker,, well atomizer anyway.. Bout the same thing.. But I figure it's spray wood massage the product into every corner and crack... 2 gallons per plant,,, Overkill? Never.

Not that I seen anything and I've been looking..

Trying a new spray product too.

Hope all's gardens are growing great out there....

And I think I won't be allowed to post here much longer... Seeing I don't fit in with the political agenda the seems to be what the Administrators are really pushing... This is a quote of a reply I received when I asked what I can use an icon;;;

"An Avatar should not contain offensive images, or nudity, or anything else that I find to be offensive. I also don't allow blatant campaigning, so figure it out or find another forum."

Sorry, I'm a firm believer in my 1st and 2nd Amendment rights.. But when I can't post pictures of my heritage, and yet they can post threads like 'Kill Trump Supporters' and the moderators even chime in on that thread,,, and other anti-Trump "campaigning" threads yet delete my posts when I object? Or shut down threads they object too That is the reason for my icon.... I had to remove my last icon because they found it offensive.

Believe me,,, I respect all's rights to their beliefs,,, yet they don't give me the same...

Fast pic tho of the Marion Berry.. Purple already;;

Thanks @The Gram Reaper. I'm going to give some wide berth cept my music,, and

I just got a thing when I get pushed.. About the only reason, I keep coming is the love of a grow and be able to share it.. Without the risks of real-life thieves and such... Not that I have ANY questionable people around.... Rule number one... I post on the big''' sites under the same ID. Easy to find...

I see you talking Gelato in your profile... I've grown that one for almost 3 years now... BTW you know who the Breeder was? You have a grow going?

Link me up..

Anyone on this here thread here,, link me up I'll drive-thru....

This isn't my primary site,,, I'm on like 5 sites now.. And I've been on the sites,,, since the first REAL first site of overgrow back when all we had was AOL dial up.. Man took a week to get a picture downloaded... Well they got busted back in what??????????? early/mid 90's? After they took overgrow's mainframes and closed them down, I know I sweated, I was growing some larger grows,,, over 200 plants+, well these other sites like roll-it amongst others,, started popping up.... But I guess one just has to stay outta the political threads,, unless he wants to be stifled.. Sad when the upper people are pushing their own agenda...

But I'm going to lay low for a minute or two.. And keep updating and picking afew pics here and there of past grows.. I do have a Strawberry Amnesia and a mystery plant under a 1000 watt HPS.. I forgot to label that one,,, hence mystery.. that will be getting close soon.. 3-4 weeks....
And all these outdoor ones..

I also have my next rotation in veg and just uppotted them tonight from the root training 1-gallon pots into some 2-gallon pots.. I'm going to do a small flip next indoors... 1 Puppy, 1 Gelato, 4 Cripits...

I grow in organic soils with afew goodies thrown in.. and I use Black Gold Organic mix as a starter mix.... Lighting,,, fall/winter I use 2 1500 watt HPS on 3'foot light rails...

I tend to babble when I drink...

Our country is currently battling between capitalist nationalism vs socialist globalism and your preferred policies are going to be either or. That said, there's no way we'll be able to resolve these issues on sites like RIU. I get it, RIU is owned and controlled by liberals, and to a liberal, only other liberals have free speech, and all others are considered deplorable and should be eradicated.

As a conservative Democrat, that's fine with me. I can choose to continue posting here or not. Shit, I can even open my own site where I could be king dickhead and send liberals to the back for what "I" consider to be hate speech. Just yesterday, Facebook sent me to the back for 30 days for making a gay joke about someone and labeled it as "Hate Speech". I say just let it go. There's no sense losing sleep over it. I still have free speech and if any web site chooses to send me to the back and proverbially take their ball and go home, that's fine, it's their ball after all.

At the end of it all, getting into forum shouting matches is a waste of at least your time.

Well shit man good luck with everything. I haven't started a grow journal, going to stick with a harvesting one for my harvests and ones that I work on for clients.

https://www.rollitup.org/t/reaping-grams.994860/

The bulk of harvesting doesn't come until late next month thru October when outdoor comes in. Its going to be busy beyond belief because it lines up with a lot of indoor growers that need harvesting at the same time. I plan on showing a lot of good pics.

My Gelato is from Elev8 seeds, I am not sure if they are a breeder or just a broker. I harvested it for a client and they gave me one of their mothers as a gift. They where trying to choose the most productive phenotype for commercial growing and I took the pheno that I found to have the best looking bud for my collection. The fucking thing looks pure Indica but is growing like a Sativa. I shaved her damn near to the bone for cuts and she popped back like a lion with tons of new tops.

I don't affiliate with any party but I am strongly against Donald Trump as president. However, I don't think that should interrupt business and discussion, its self harming. Growers need to stick together, no matter what their personal beliefs on politics or religion. The weed growing community has literally made it through thousands of years of persecution. I am heavily against organized religion but I am not going to burn bridges over what I see as forced schizophrenia. If you believe Trump has done great for you and yours, then I do not blame you for supporting someone that has benefited your family. It is your duty to do whats best for your family, just as it is my duty to speak out against some one I see harming my people.
