Hey guys & gals im on day 5 of hang drying and my buds are crispy to the touch but the stems are still bendy not snapping at all,any suggestions ? when should i start the curing process ?
i jar when they are as you describe, but usually take them back out for a day after a day in the jar. after a day in the jar the moisture in the bendy stems will spread to the buds...this may seem too moist to stay in the jars, this is something your going to have to learn to do by feel yourself. another day out of the jar, or even with the jar open all day, they should be crispy on the outside again. jar em up and start curing. i open for 5-10 minutes a day but as i said earlier YOU have to be the judge. you want it to dry/cure as slow ar possible without mold.some say jar it when the stems snap, some say jar it while stem still bendy, some say brown bag it, some say dont. This is my first grow guys and i feel i've come to far to mess it up feel me ? so as i stated earlier they feel dry as hell on the outside & its day 5 of hanging but the dam stems are still bendy somebody help me out please
I've been doing it like this for years, I do not take it out of the jars once its in simply because I pack it in pretty tight. I check it daily, often leaving the jars open all day for the first week or so and have never had a mould problem.i jar when they are as you describe, but usually take them back out for a day after a day in the jar. after a day in the jar the moisture in the bendy stems will spread to the buds...this may seem too moist to stay in the jars, this is something your going to have to learn to do by feel yourself. another day out of the jar, or even with the jar open all day, they should be crispy on the outside again. jar em up and start curing. i open for 5-10 minutes a day but as i said earlier YOU have to be the judge. you want it to dry/cure as slow ar possible without mold.
Sure you can. I harvested a crop last year that I had hanging to dry for a week or so, the problem was the electric heat was on in the room, so the buds got really dry, so dry that I had to handle them with care so as not to break them all apart. All I did was I gently put the buds in rubbermaid containers with some fresh orange skins. Within two days the buds were perfect and could be handled as normal and the bud smoked great.you can't fix overdried bud no matter what you try
