This will be where I’ll posts of what I have growing. I have grown before, but I’m not an experienced grower. Currently, I have a 4x4 veg tent with a 600w MH and two quantum boards. I’m growing in soil and using light nutes. The veg tent has a mix of genetics (from seedlings to clones). There are Vortex, Jelly Pie, Soulmate, Peanut Butter Breath, Blue Petrol, and (Peyote Purple x Querkle) x MAC. My flower tent is a 5x5 with Spider 4000 and in there are Vortex, Jelly Pie, Apple Sundae, Soulmate, and Orange Blossom Special. Feel free to comment or ask questions.

They look nice and healthy! I thought wow that's a lot of plants for a small tent, but see some are headed outdoors most likely! Very nice, lots of variety!!

Thank you! Yes, you got it right, some will be moved outdoors. I’ll do my best to keep them in until they mature enough to sex them before I move them out. I may keep some males that seem like potential breeding plants. I’m getting excited for the outdoor season to really start! Hope you’re doing well and growing well!

Here are some recent pics of the veg plants and flower plants. I chopped one of my 3 Vortex’s to test out my drying closet and trimming and drying and curing. It was the least frosty of the Vortex and has a smell that isn’t as appealing to me. It’s a floral smell. The other two smell like sour lemon candy and are more frosty than the one I just chopped. The 2 Jelly Pies and the other 2 Vortex look like they will be ready soon and I’ll probably harvest those next week. One Jelly Pie smells really grape and is super frosty and I don’t have a good clone of her like I do the other, so I’m going to try to reveg her. The male flowers are of my soulmate male that I’m hoping to get a little pollen from.

Today I chopped two Vortex. They look really good and frosty and smell really sour, sweet, and lemony.

Also today I did my first pollen chuck! My Soulmate (Bodhi Seeds) male with the purple flowers is dropping pollen so I’m using it to make f2’s!

Flipping this 5x5 tent to 12/12 today.

The plants aren’t big enough I think. And I think I might have messed up by defoliating them. I know trimming the little lower branches to leave just the top big is good but I also trimmed a lot of fan leaves so I’m going to veg them out for a couple weeks probably before I flip to 12/12. Might fit a couple more plants in there also.

well you didn't strip them too bad. I usually wait until after I flip the lights to defoliate, and then only lower leaves, but I know that's a touchy subject and everyone has their opinions. Lot's of interesting strains...Just keep a careful eye out in case one starts to hermie. I have a similar situation with a bunch of new strains, and some are regular seeds so they need to be sexed. Keeps things interesting!!

Yeah thanks for the advice! I’ll try to be on it looking for the herms. Some of these I have already ran so I’ll keep those in their own section now and put the new ones where I can get to them easier to check them.
I’m a seed popping fool! I try to outgrow myself so it keeps it busy and fun. I’ve already been dabbling in “breeding” seeds for myself just to save money and experiment around and see if I can make some fire seeds. I have some males outside that I’m watching just in case one of them calls to me. About to smoke some blue petrol!

Sweet...Yeah I didn't grow anything new for like 3 years, but I have been brave and experimenting more again lately, and it is nice when you hit the jackpot with a great strain!! Sometimes the best ones come from a free seed too, it seems like...I got 3 Katsu Black Lime Bubba fem seeds for free with a purchase not long ago and they are a new favorite!!

I haven’t even been growing for three years lol. Yeah I think there are great plants to be found even in the freebies. It’s just growing them out to see. I’ve already found three that I’m keeping at least until a new one wins out over them. Then I am hoping to find some good males so I can just make seeds instead of buying as many.

Apple Sundae x Soulmate
My first intentional breeding. I chose a Soulmate male out of a few others for it’s structure and the flowers had a little bit of crystals on them and pollinated another Soulmate to get f2’s, and an Orange Blossom Special to see how that would go. So... Apple Soul! I popped five and got 100% germination. The female in this cross was really frosty and had a sweet fruity flavor. The Soulmates had a really good medicinal effect for anxiety and pain, and it smoked really smooth and was dank and stank.

PBB F2 seed project
One breeding so far it looks like seeds have grown! This was pbb (#23) female I have a cut of, with the first male (stretch pheno) that I put outdoors that I actually forgot about and it almost died, but it had some flowers still on there and opened up, so I went ahead and hit one branch of #23 on the outdoor plant a few weeks ago.
Now I have another male ( M1- OGKB pheno) that is beginning to flower that I’ll collect pollen from and use to pollinate all of my five female pbb’s.
The third male (#33- In between OGKB and stretch structure pheno) hard to tell in this photo since I cut him back to keep him small for now. Going to keep a clone of him; just a good intuition about that one and I’ll breed him to my five pbb females and probably some others and have him around in case he turns out to be a good stud.

This is the 5x5 now. Some cuts died, so I took more today so I won’t lose any if I want to keep them. I’m still going to give them a week I think.

Flipping this 5x5 tent today got some new plants in there that I’m excited to try! Got Jelly Pie, Blue Petrol, PBB, Co Superskunk, Lemans, Orange Zkittlez Banana Punch x Wilson, Dog Patch, Double Cup, and a CBD strain from a freebie seed.

Did some more backyard breeding attempts. I just rubbed the whole male and over a whole female and it will just be a seed plant because I’m not expecting to get good smoking bud from my outdoor plants, at least not this year. Outdoor is going to be my breeding plants I think mainly until I get good at growing outdoors. Grow your own seeds and make your own crosses I’ve spent way too much on seeds now, it’s time to just find the best ones and breed them. To me it’s a lot of fun anyways.
These moms I am using for these crosses aren’t keepers to me (they both have good potency and structure and yield just not a lot of terps so maybe one of these crosses will get some flavor from the male) and the males are from strains I haven’t grown out or smoked yet. I picked the males on stem rub and just genetics for the Dog patch make. Maybe they’ll add some pizzaz to the moms. I’m just going to try them out way down the road sometime. But I’ll have them and keep making more chucks and more seeds. Definitely going to do my best with my PBB males and females that I have to make a lot of f2’s

3- Bison Breath x Dog Patch (Lucky Dog)

Hopeful about these 2 little Peanut Butter Breath males. One is OGKB structure and is flowering. I’m not planning on keeping that one, but I do want to get some pollen to make some f2 PBB seeds with all of my females. The other male has a good structure, not very stretchy. It’s hard to tell in here but when he grows out I’ll take another pic of him. Planning on using his pollen on all my PBB females to make f2’s also and probably other strains that I have too.
