Ok, My dumbest question yet!

Ok, I went to google first, and I couldnt find anything. We all know you can treat with some silver chemicals and get Female seeds. Is there anyway to masculinize a plant so that you know your going to get a male for breeding?

I know in a perfect world m/f seeds are suppose to be 50/50, so if you grow them you should get 1 male and 1 female, but I have also read in reality that does not always work and you can often get 2 females.

Any one know a way to make sure you get a son instead of a daughter?

Right, but is there any way to make SURE a seed comes up male? Anything your can treat it with like you do to make females? For when you dont have a super stud male to clone cause your just starting.

There is a chemical for reversing males. Forget what it’s called but it’s some nasty chemical thats a bit hazardous to work with. I believe the main reason males are reversed is to see what kind of flowers to expect in his children.

Regular seed x regular seed = Males and Females

Reversing a female plant will result in feminized seeds.

Reversing a male will result in buds, no seeds.

There isn't a way to make all male seeds to my knowledge.

In terms of sex chromosomes (the ones that determine gender), females are X X and males are X Y. Female seeds will always be fem, because sex chromosomes from female plants can only result on a X being passed on after meiosis. “Male” seeds would theoretically be male or female, because the male decides the gender/sex in “sexual” reproduction.
