Greetings fellow rollituppers,

Long time lurker,first time poster.

I started vegging this girl off on a blackstar 135UV LED for about a month ( till i got to the 6th node) then swapped her over to a growlush 600w MH ( she is on week 3 of bloom).I'm not sure of the breed of seed since she was a baggie ( killer smoke though)

I honestly thought I had enough room for her using the old idea that she may triple her size during bloom phaze,well she did a bit more than that.She stretched ( as i was ready for her to do),then bushed,then stretched and bushed,and as we speak shes giving me the finger and stretching some more. The light is (has) always been about 8-12 inches away from her and I've done all that I can think of to stop this naughty woman from doing this.No more room to tie down ect.

Any ideas? Cheers !

hey friend, it looks like there isplenty of room to tie her down more, but other than that thers nothing oyu can do but put it outside maybe, maybe just make her start growing sideways and keep tieing it down, other than that thereisnt much you can do, it looks like a sativa strain which means it may stretch more and more than you beleive. good luck friend.

Thanks for the post aknight3,she is touching the walls on all sides. I had originally had her opened up so that the light could penetrate the middle of her then the top two branches went crazy.I thought about lopping them off so they sit even with the rest of the plant,but then I would lose those colas she is working so hard on to give me.I'll give tying her down across herself a go.I really am against female mutilation !

Yeah it is definitely a sativa so expect a long flower time, most are 12-16 weeks. the easiest way to control growth is to pinch the stalk where u want it to bend until u feel it snap then roll the stem over. No need to tie it down and this lets u place it where u want it.

Thanks man,wasn't sure If supercropping was advised at this stage in the flowering,I'll give that a go,since tying her down means a shit load of faffing about to get into the grow area.

Well its been about a month and a bit since I posted here.Shes definitely a sativa.Ive battled fungus gnat and root rot since then and found out I was using the wrong light on her,changed that over last week as well as moved her because she was far too cramped up in the cupboard.
She hasn't even looked like filling out and getting chunky yet.I know shes going to take a bit to finish But the concern is starting to creep in...

I just finished a sativa not too long ago and some of them are just not attractive plants but damn, the smoke was great.

Dont get me wrong,its all bud up and down the plant,its just starting to freak me out its not thickening up.Apart from that its all good !

That's a sativa for you, man.

It's not gunna look like an OG or a fat indica. But it'll probably send your ass to the moon and back before you even knew what happened.

We did a columbian gold that was just airy and fluffly. If you didn't know what it was you'd say that is some bunk. But 1 bowl and your lost. Most people compare Leaf to Calyx. This was bud vs Thrics!!

Heh,Im hearing you man.Im burning some of the stuff I knocked out from below the light line,and if its any indication of the final smoke I'll be grinning like the Cheshire cat.

Yeah, I pulled a little over 3 oz off that straggly bitch and kept all of it for personal. Its strange how 5 seeds of the same strain can produce such very different plants, some finished in 8-9 weeks some 11 and one wanted more than I could give it.

The way shes going at the moment I'm thinking at LEAST another month to go before my next freak out assessment.There is still some growth happening here and there on some buds and the trichs are still way tiny.

Ok,the last couple of days have thrown me. A handful of colas have decided to stretch.should I cut the tips back to the formed bud,or just let her go? I cant raise the 600w anymore than she all ready is.

I would do anything you can to keep from cutting them.

In the picture it looks like you have them tied. Maybe try pulling them down more if you can.

Once I heard the word cabinet and Sativa in the same paragraph I knew there was trouble. You have another month to go, and you are kinda screwed as it will continue to grow that entire time. Move it out of the closet if you can, because that is a 5' plant minimum. Good luck

She-Hulk (dont know why I called her that,lol)came out of the cupboard about a month ago,poor girl needed to stretch her legs so I moved her into her own room to finish her off.But she just wants to keep growing hehe.

p.s she is already near 6ft.

Well at of all the problems to have. Growing to healthy and to fast is a good one to have, lol
