they impede our progress. they impede our freedon to PURSUE happiness. It isn't guaranteed...nothing is...but the PURSUIT is AVAILABLE to all....if the Dem's simply catch on to the correct economic policies.

If you want social change.... you need to get the turkey nice and fat first. Obama's timing couldn't be worse.

OK, let's forget Democrats and Republicans for a change. Let's answer a few questions. What would happen to the economy if:

1. The Capital Gains tax was repealed?

2. The Income tax was repealed and the IRS put out of business?

3. The "Death Tax" was repealed?

4. Our fiat money system was changed so that we had honest money backed by precious metals, either gold, silver, or both?

5. A simple national sales tax, or a simple flat tax was installed to replace the progressive income tax?

6. Government employee unions were abolished?

7. Term limits were instituted for all senators and congressmen, just like we did for the presidency?

oil at 81.50 a barrel yesterday. things are looking up..if they could just print more money that would fix everything. you let speculators get a whiff this economy is picking up and commodity's are going to go straight through the roof. did you know george soros owns halliburton stock?HAL is a company who has its head quarters over seas is traded in the new york exchange has NO debt a excellent income stream and pays a pretty good div. too. what a well run company ..a company of experts for sure.
the best in the world in logistics and oil well supply .idiot speculators are going to drive the price up on the news the economy just gained a half million new jobs this month because of the census hiring . it will cause a spike in oil prices and gold prices..watch and see if what im telling you isnt true.the IMF just released 400 tons of gold and almost all of sold straight away.
some thought it was going to drive the price of gold down and i think that is what the IMF had in mind for it to do. it was a attempt to stabilize world currency's,. it didnt work to dry up some of the excess liquidity in world currency markets.china and other countrys bought the gold that was released by the IMF straight away.
would any one care to reason or wonder as to why the last two times the IMF has released 400 tons of gold at a time and it was IMMEDIATELY SOLD TO COUNTRYS CENTRAL BANKS..such as india and china?

The short term capital gains is the killer...35%

All we need is the flat tax and lower corperate rates 10%

Then we would have the money for the socialists to spend:hump:

Yes a national sales tax is better. It makes it easier to save and budget and doesn't rape the middle class.

Any Canadian I have ever spoken to seems to protest infinitely more against the national sales tax rather than whatever taxes of theirs go towards universal health care (which they spend less on per capita th\en we do, while protecting all citizens)
