OBAMACARE ARCHITECT ADMITS THE BILL WAS A LIE

An architect of the federal healthcare law said last year that a "lack of transparency" and the "stupidity of the American voter" helped Congress approve ObamaCare.

In a clip unearthed Sunday, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Professor Jonathan Gruber appears on a panel and discusses how the reform earned enough votes to pass.

He suggested that many lawmakers and voters didn't know what was in the law or how its financing worked, and that this helped it win approval.

"Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage,” Gruber said. "And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical for the thing to pass."

Gruber made the comment while discussing how the law was "written in a tortured way" to avoid a bad score from the Congressional Budget Office. He suggested that voters would have rejected ObamaCare if the penalties for going without health insurance were interpreted as taxes, either by budget analysts or the public.

What else is our government lying about?

yet somehow it is working better than projected, costing less and insuring more people than originally thought.

nice try, beenthere.

Absolutely false on every count. Not one word of the above post resembles anything close to reality. It's an insolvent, embarrassing failure and it's getting worse with every report. It is the anchor around your neck and no one is coming to your rescue on this one.

Well I don't really know how to respond, you took one part of the whole conversation and are extrapolating it into a bigger issue. Universal healthcare is good for the country, more people working less people sittin on the couch.

A country is just a place, bounded by imaginary lines and populated by individual people. Some of those individuals making others do things they prefer not to under the threat of force is not a "good thing".

I love how the minions try to justify the government lying just because the liberals are in charge..
Hey it's alright that our government lies to us, we're too stupid to know what's best for us.

Buck is right, the ACA might be covering as many as 9 million people by next year. Nothing says universal care more than covering almost 1/4 of 1% of the population.

What a grand slam.

The White House has been trumpeting the fact that 8 million people selected insurance plans through state and federal exchanges set up by the Affordable Care Act.

you suck at reality, 54-40. it's getting embarrassing.

isn't that how your savior jesus would want it though?

what would your savior say if he came back today and saw you speaking out against health care for the indigent?

you seem like quite the shitty christian, beenthere.

He'd say, "who the fuck shit on the floor??!!! Jesus Christ, it's all over the place" !!

The English language is murder. The language of the masses is severely hindered by those who write and teach "the law" which is what the green pocketed whistle blower stated.

The definition of a low life should be one who screws others for his cut of the 1%.

Go figure.
