New World Order is exactally what I'm talking about its all Bilderburg Group. Having Secret meetings with other Countries government officals about a "ONE GOVERNMENT WORLD" in private is ILLEGAL and is just down right NOT RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Obama is throwing us all for a big LOOP.

1). I think everyone is right about the first term stuff. Every pres. wants to get relected the second time and there are to many government funded orginizations against mj. He would be shooting himself in the foot if he did that.

2). Mr Obama has not kept true to EVERYTHING he has said for instance our troops are still in Iraq during the campaign it was "I will be ending all need for military in the middle east when I take office". The first couple weeks of office it changed from NOW to 16 months. Now its just suddenly 23 months. Mr. Obama is a puppet for the people who REALLY run the United States. Ever heard of the Bilderburg group?

3). As for the dirty mexicans coming into our country everyday and making things worse by not paying taxes on the money they make. FUCK EM. We don't need or want your fucking brown ass brick weed. And as for killings, if the American government would take their head out of their ass and realize we are just wasting time, money, and american lives in the middle east, and move the troops to the US/Mexico border I don't think the wetback will fuck with us. You are more than likely right about them having access to all sorts of weapons but when the NUKE is pointing in their face I think they will shut the fuck up and realize that the American people are not going to stand for this shit ANYMORE.

4). Most of the MJ friendly states are up north. When oh when is atleast one state in the south going to open their eyes up. I love the south and just wish they would realize. Great thread and great read right here.
I'm from he south, and might I say that a majority of the people here are pricks or stupid rednecks.

the border patrol still carries revolvers, watch the news man, yes we are underfunded and outgunned at the border, i dont think you realize the scope of how much money these cartels have, there would be hell if we legalize it, answer my question,, small town right??? you havent seen first hand what even street gangs can do let alone the sydicate and the mexican mafia, you are naive!
well whos fault is that? there is no reason we should not be able to defend our boarder. we can fund the Iran contra in there own war with money made off of imported drugs from our country. why not use our own drugs to fund our own. plus Id like to see the mafia defend an stealth bomber 5miles high. its all about the intelligence if we really wanted to we could do some damage. the problem is when one falls another is there to fill the void. there is always gonna be controversy in this area. but atleast we could keep our money in our country. another prob is you dont tend to see a lot of bust coming in from Mexico it seems to be more profitable to wait until they sell their dope and head home. you bustem coming in you gotta destroy the weed, bust'em going home look at all the cash the gov gets to toss around. its really all a vicious cycle the only way to end is to legalize and make a stand. I mean seriously we can take over Iraq but we cant handle mexico. do they even have an airforce. no offense inplied this is just my o2 and I felt I needed to express it.

Does it matter if there was a rise in murders and kidnappings?? Yes of course it does. But is that how you think. Oh if he legalizes it the murders will skyrocket. NO!! That is not the way we as Americans should think. We should believe that it will quell the violence which it would. Hell those drug dealers. The ones who import marijuana. Maybe they would change their minds and try doing it legally. Through the right means.
do you think they can compete with that brown brick shit, they dont want to go fortune 500, you act like these are reasonable people, all the would see is lost income, this would not end the violence!

You know what's really really cool about this thread? There are a lot of passionate measured opinions in here, some fiery ones, but hardly if any harsh words toward one another. Have you folks ever cruised on any political sites like Huffington Post, Fox News, CNN online, and such? Those places are BRUTAL.!!!! Man, the harshness and meanness and stupidity... unreal. This place is like zen by comparison.

If only we could make all of our Congressmen to review the civility on this thread, they'd see that smokers got something together that the rest of the nation could use a lesson in...

he never said that, he said the mafia.

His argument was it should be no problem for us to handle this, especially with our military, but I do see a lot of sketchy ass bullshit going on if we legalized marijuana from Mexico (at least the sketchy mexican cartel).

Anything else is game with me. It would help sooooooooooo much in sooooooooo many areas.

But the main concern is what most people think: Why such a sudden shift in Obama's view? We all know why, but why not actually tackle the issue.

Sigh I just hate how this discussion has been sweeped under the rug year after year, while it makes less and less sense to keep prohibition going.

Yet Obama utters one fucking sentence, leading and ending with a snicker. Seriously disgusting.

go read the article on www.norml.org, it's kind of sad.

No you are missing the small picture, we have a border with a country that we have to protect, we are underfunded and out gunned, i am saying ASS, is if we put a bunch of mexican pot farmers and their families out of business along with the networks they supply, there will be a spike in OTHER more violent crimes against agents, MORE illegal immagrants, and yes MORE innocent people being killed in a drug war..
Am i saying that people in Ohio would be at war, NO but the war thats going on would escalate, but i could be wrong, i mean, we only burned down have of Los angeles over the Rodney King verdict!!!

I think the mexican mafia might have a little something to say if the USA
decided to
, GROW OUR OWN!!!
This is ridonkulous, the major flaw in this arguement is that the only reason there are drug cartels, is because there is a black market in our country for drugs, its profitable for these people to smuggle drugs into ours, if malboro, and phillip moriss, and even freakin Wal-mart got in on the pot game, the drug cartels would be pushed out of buissness. They could no longer afford to fight the mexican government, yet alone start a war with the U.S. (which crossing the border and attack citizens would be considered an act of war). It's all about the money. and besides, the cartels would most likely welcome it because they new major export as a legitimit company would be pot sold to our corporation who would then up the price to sell to us, just like all the other goods sold in this country.

lol, sorry, rant ended.:bigjoint:

hey man I dont really appreciate the attitude. no reason for it I even went out of my way to say NO OFEENSE and it was just my o2. so you comeback with IDIOT. O, I also didnt say anything about invading mexico. if they decide to do stupid shit than maybe. I was basically just trying to say that if we put all the effort into protecting our own country as we do in telling other countries what to do than safeguarding our boarder shouldnt be a problem. also I feel that if you believe that our boarder police are only carrying revolvers then you are the one with lack of intelligence.

There's no frickin' way he can stick his neck out for that right now. The Republicans would absolutely hang him with it, and what traction he has on everything else would go right down the tubes. Don't know the age of the original poster here, but Pres. Clinton put his neck out on gays in the military and it completely derailed his administration for two years. It's politics... yes, it's bullshit, but that's where it is..

I agree legalization would be very healthy for our economy, but it would be a small boost relative to the huge problems we have right now. And as another poster rightly pointed out, corporatized MJ is not necessarily what we want. And, there's still enough corporatism alive and well that I am sure that's what we'd up with (so, we'd all still be "black market" yet again, and in violation of some stupid seed patent or whatever and still subject to recrimination).

Let's get back to work, and just grow them all into submission...
Completely agreed. I did hear that obama is allowing gays in the military now is that true?

ya you are right they would just right it off!!!! Where in the world do people live this NAIVE???? you are comparing heads of drug cartels to the heads of Walmart?
you are a complete moron!! if you take someones income there will be reprecussions, you cant TALK to people you cant see... why is this so hard to wrap your head around, if you take a group of people FIGHTING over drug profits and we legalize it, you think the drug lords will say, oh the hell with it, lets just get a real job?

you think like a pothead, you dont think pot is a serious business, billions of dollars for a fucking weed!!

their service REVOLVERS arent revolvers? im wrong, I didnt live in laredo and know several border agents?
Really, is there a team of navy seals or green barets gaurding our borders? NO
it averages out to 2 agents PER 3 MILEs of texas/mexican border. If we stop sending that much cash annually to mexico, we will suffer reprecussions, we will SEE A SPIKE IN illegal immagration, we WILL see a spike in violence against americans and TEJANOS like myself!!!
there will be more violent crimes, more theft and bank robberies, good luck living in fantasy land!!!
