hey dude, lovethe outdoors modular scrog, thats a killer backyard engineering project. im curious about the worm farm i have seen you post about, im particularly curious about your method for harvesting and how you use harvested castings. you inspirred me to setup my own farm and i harvested my first batch of castings today. it went ok... do you use your castings in the same super soil you use for indoor grows? i know the bennies are in there but i know 100% my harvested castings have critters i them. i ended up spending a whole afternoon and ended up with just enough castings to brew 1 batch of tea so i must be doing something wrong... my worn bin is a 35 gallong rubbermaid tub and when harvest began the tub was about 4 inches full of compost. i would love to make enough castings to not have to buy any from the hydro shop.

i have a bin about that size too, but i use my juicer scraps, which are ultra fine, and incredibly nutrient rich....they get goobled up in a matter of days...i use my castings in and out, and from what i know about critters, they are usually harmless preditory mites and the like....i have never had a problem....but again, i think my secret is the juicer fodder, cause it all happens so fast, i harvest 5 gallons of castings every two months......i did a castings show quite a ways back in this thread, if you can find it, there is a lot of detailed info in it....nugs

Just wanted to say Nugs, that is some damn good training/canopy management! Very impressive! I think I will start doing some mainlining experiments after I move. I'd like to see what your methods can do in an UC hydro setup.

Thoughts/questions for you:

Start plants in 2-3 gal smart pots for veg with straight Roots Organic - Then in flower stack those on top of 5/7gal Smart Pots so the roots can grow through the bottoms into the super soil. (I've heard Cannabis likes throwing deep roots)

Do you think (dependent on strain/nute requirements even though its organic) that it's possible to seed right into super soil w/o burn or would semi developed clones (I prefer LP aero cloning) would be best to go into supersoil?

Love the use of the cut down tomato caging! Keep up the great work, and I'll be watching! Much love, and best wishes for a full recovery with your health issues!!
Maybe I should start doing vermi-farming again. :) (Kinda miss my worm farms)

(P.S. I'm a photographer by trade, so if you have any camera/photo questions feel free to hit me up!)
