Norcal outdoor 2011 (saving the season)

So I had a couple partners and locked a place down with 50 acres. The land owner was very cool upon getting the place and made it clear we could get an outdoor going so long as nothing took place in the house. Well after building 3 green houses and putting out 40(300 gal pots) she decided it was much more then what she had in mind putting an end to what I thought was my only shot at an outdoor this year and costing about 12 grand just from my part. My buddies decided to work together and pick up an indoor spot so me and my old lady decided we were not going to let another season come and go. After about 20 rentals later we ran into the perfect spot. 150 acres of beautiful ridge top with the best landlord this side the Mississippi. Anyway on to the good stuff like I said we got started a little later then would have liked to but I think well be just fine. Picked up a solar pannel to charge my electric fence and have 53 little girls in the ground. Plants went in june 12th to be exact. I get sun from 6am - 8:30pm right at the moment and its straight over the top all day long with nothing really shading anything all day long.

The rest and majority are all F1 Sour Diesel clones from my seed mom ( killer indoor first time takin her outside ) I think there I have 53 in the ground to date but plan to add a couple more.


I built most of the pots with some posts from home depot along with a few other odds and ends. Trying to keep it fairly cheap because my budget wasnt what it use to be.


Soil I decided to go with roots organic and a few additives ( worm castings, bat guano, kelp, and a few different meals, little extra peralite)

Nutrients I will be be using a bunch of different things aswell as some of my own secret sauce ( worm tea with a little kick )
-heavy harvest as a base
-liquid fish
-liquid seaweed
-guano
-farm animal shit (horse, steer, chicken)
-bone meal
-alfalfa meal
-mycorhizae
-humic & fulvic
-b1
-neem
random other things to boost N through out the summer


Anyway I adjusted the plants got most of the hard labor out of the way and my little ladies are just starting to get past the transition period and taking off. The pictures I have are from june 12th I have a lot of time on my hands and will update often. I will have never pics up tomorrow night sometime. This is my first "real" outdoor so any help would be greatly appreciated and anybody with an opinion is more then welcome to jump in and tell me what ya think. Wow this looks promising. Sub/ plus rep. Sucks about wasting the money and time on the first grow but this one looks like it will turn out great. Your running some awesome strains as well

Fuck, next season I'll partner with ya, I need a chunk of land like that!! Better late than never, right? Man, good job, a lot of work but it'll be cool in the end!

Thanks guy everything seems to be going great all the plants are comming around. Ill post more pics tomorrow they have grown quite a bit the past week.

Looking Good nice plot

Wow, that's a ton of work! Way to be unstopable!

One thing I can reccomend, put pallets under the pots for air flow and soggy feet.
Also if a plant needs to be turned then its easy.

Nice and healthy looking garden. Even tho u started late, the plants are good sized (most) and nice and bushy, so u should get a decent harvest. Nice plot location-- plenty of sun. +rep

Thanks I have a few things I still have to get done. Today I will be putting rice hay on the tops of the pots with a opening around the base of the stalks to keep the top cooler and hopefully keep it watered a little more even. I like the pallet idea and I have plenty of time to figure out next years plan of attack. Has anybody used advanced heavy harvest before and if so what are your thoughts on it? I have water right in the middle of the garden but no power so I was going to use something with time release. Any thoughts please jump in this is my first real outdoor.

I just bought some mulch rice hay and spread it about 3 inches thick around all the plants on top of the dirt. I left a paper plate size hole around the base of the stalk...I am hoping that this is going to help keep the plants moist aswell as keeping the temp around the roots down.

be carefull with the heavy HARVEST I've seen it burn plants when put down too heavily
