Noobie SF2000pro question

Been looking for a strong light for my AC Infinity 2x2 tent. I've grown in the past but never really took it serious until this year. I was looking at the Spider Farmer SF2000pro. It says it can cover a 3x3 max and a 2x2 min tent size. And if I convert the website dimensions of the light it only comes out to 16.3"x16.3" so in theory it should fit.

Any advice would be great or alternate suggestions if this is too much light for a 2x2.

You should be good to go with that light in a 2 x 2.
For flowering 16" - 18" away gives decent light levels.
At 16" in 2ft x 2ft

How many whats is the 2000? I though 200 but seems like low light levels for 50w per sq foot.

Vypar is supposed to have a fabtastic 2x2 light at 150w, with a much more even spread that mos chart. Cant remember the exact model but vypar 150 something.

I un-lazied myself and dug out the link:


Flip thru the pics and theres some info on even light spread and parmaps. For a budget 2x2 my guess this is probably one of the best around. Assuming vipar isnt inventing everything shamelessly.

Lower hanging height is also a plus, 12" on vipar 16-18 on SF.

The xs1500 pro. It's a popular choice. I use an older sf2000 to veg. It's also a fine light, I use it in a 2x3 tent.

Do a thread title only search on the site for xs1500 will reveal a bunch of users here who got testers from Viparspectra last year. They uniformly hit it out of the park. It was great to watch them.

This! I havent tried it myself just know that it seems to be solidly recommended. The only thing that would talk against it is that the red supplementation is fairly low, but you can grow solid with white only so shouldnt be an issue. But research actual users and growlogs. And remember 1000ppfd is quite a bit of light especially if giving it to all the plant with such even spread, think twice before u turn it up to 11 and make sure you have everything dialed in. We only give that amount of light somewhere mid flower and it usually will fade some leaves. This kind of intensity means you need to have great transpiration with all leaves erect, quite a bit of temps (26-2 and quite high nutes but controlling runoff so as to not toast the plant. Organic-water only may be very hard to get right at those light levels.
