alrite well i put two seeds in wet paper towels covered with a plate.

im jus trying out this plant thing and was wondering the male plants dont give shit?

and is the gender determined on how you take care of it or jus how it is before germination. because a lot of people are saying it depends on how you grow it.

oh and also how do i keep the plants like super short.
i have asian parents and if they found that i dont think theyd be too happy.

alrite thanks. and i dont care if it grows jus a lil bit bud as long as its small

male plants give seeds... thats it... no bud.. you can use them for hash tho..

gender is predetermined by the genetics of the seeds... although enviromental conditions can affect hormones.. stress can lead to more males/hermies but its not 100% that itll happen all the time.. this is due to increased male hormones being produced from being stressed... you can help promote females with lower temps, 18/6 light cycles during veg, and just overall less enviromental and growth stress.. but it really comes down to seed genetics...

you can pinch the tops of your plants, FIM them, super crop them, tie them down, or LST them to keep them shorter... google "marijuana pruning techniques" and youll find in depth articles with the pros and cons of each... some are easier than others... some create less stress on the plant than others... some take the plant longer to re coup than others... just do some reading and decide what you want to do..

and what does being asian have to do with your parents getting pissed for growing?? my parents are as white as fuckin casper and would have kicked me out for growing...

that i do agree on... so is it like an asian stereo type i dont know about?? like do only asian kids like weed?? itd be a new one to me... stereo types are great... i'm not racist.. i hate everybody the same... just kidding... got nothing but stoner love for ya all.. even if you are black, mexican, jewish, or hungarian... lol :)

female plants give bud, but if pollinated it will give seeds?

so the seeds from males have the possibility that i can grow them to females rite?
and how the fuck do the males have the seeds?

wow... 14 huh... you know for admiting that you can be banned from the site... this is an 18+ site.. your riskin a lot tellin people that... but thats on you...

anyways..

-no, males produce pollen... that was a typo in the beginning.. my fingers were typing before my brain had time to catch up.. they have pollen sacs that burst open.. which in turn pollinates female which create seeds...

-females produce buds and will produce them until they are pollinated at which time they stop producing buds and concentrate seed production... this only happens to the flowers that get pollinated.. not the entire plant... not sure if a partially pollinated female will have an overall diminished yield or not tho...

-any seed has the possibility to be a male or female.. just depends in the end on genetics and hormones... a male will be a male if there are enough male hormones present no matter how much you try to baby it into a female.. just baby all your seeds and it'll help promote females... then take clones of the females and youll be fine..

-since i typoed earlier... again.. males have pollen sacs that look like little grape clusters... females produce the buds and can only be pollinated by a male or a hermie... hermies are females that turn male producing both bud and pollen sacs... usually caused by stress during flowering and has also been seen in femenized seeds...

males just have pollen sacs... they dont have the seeds...

when the males release pollen they will pollinate the flowers on the females... they females actually make the seeds...

a female will produce bud as long as it does not get pollinated... if the female does get pollinated it will stop producing bud and concentrate on creating healthy seeds.. this will only happen at the site of pollination tho.. just because one flower gets pollinated it does not mean the entire plant will produce seeds...

males = just pollen
females = buds and, if pollinated, seeds
dont worry about the hermie thing right now.. just concentrate on the male female thing...
