Noob PH question

I'm new to this ph testing and I'm wondering if I have a ph of 6.5 in my soil and I added some water or even some nutes with a ph of 5.8 what would the ph of my soil be?

Would it remain as 6.5 or will the ph lower or go higher?

Can someone explain to me how this works?

You have to check you soils pH again to see what level its at. I dont think there is any mathematical way in telling or predicting the outcome.

So if I add something that is ph 6.0 to a 6.5 ph it will remain the same? I don't see the point in checking the ph of the water or add or anything else for that matter if it doesn't change

It does change... If u have 1ltr of water with PH 6.5 and 1ltr PH 5.5 mixed together the PH would be 6.0

Ok, lets say If I add 6.8 to a 6.8 does it stay the same or does it fluxuwait?

Really? I want what your smoking..

If your PH of your soil is o.k. then just Ph your water/nutes before adding them, you will be fine. Dont worrie to much about it.. If your adding a water at PH 6.8 to a soil mix everytime you water and the soil is 5.8, it will gradually get go closer to the Ph of the water.
