I just think it should be stated that IT IS WRONG TO GROW IN YOUR PARENTS HOUSE when you are under their direct control, i.e. you are a minor whose parents answers for your mistakes. But I do feel that there are certain circumstances in which adults can be justified in growing covertly in a shared home. Adults in their parents home and growers living with room mates are two examples that come to mind.

I don't want to be a dick, I just get annoyed when people arbitrarily denounce what you're doing without knowing the whole situation, because if I didn't feel that a single mother should not be by herself when she has adult kids, then I would definately be growing on my own terms. It's especially annoying when a lot of the independent adult growers are growing with kids around, which in my mind is sketchier than an adult growing in his parents house.

Also, when my mother inevitably has to move in with one of us kids (probably me as I am poised to be the better money earner of my siblings), should I stop growing because we again share a house? I would say not.

Again, not trying to be a dick or make enemies, and I do think it is best to advise young kids to not grow in their parents house... beyond that to each his own...

Believe it or not, I too have a sense of self preservation, and definately would not be doing it if I felt that it were excessively risky. Or that its discovery would be a scandalous family affair.


Either way, like I said, to each his own. Its hard to take the ethical high road when we're all in the same boat. So just leave it alone.

The only reason why cops would be using IR in a residential area is because that person is already under investigation. Seeing a hot spot in a house doesn't mean anything.

I was under the impression that police helicopters flash FLIR when they are patrolling or searching, and that they identify the heat signature off the lamps . Also, at least from what people around my way have said, the police will attempt an unwarranted (voluntary) search if they have two things against you, Like two anonymous tips and FLIR, but the prosecutors rarely ok a search warrant on those grounds. It seems obvious, but no warrant, no entry, under any circumstances.
