with Bigfoot I would get both .... use granular when transplant and concentrate to root drench .... granular you sprinkle in the hole when transplant ... then concentrate then next feed dr root then start the nectar ....

Low ph all during bloom... maybe because my transplants never took to the new shoes. I believe i let them get too root bound in the 3gal pots before transplanting i also dont think i watered them in enough at transplant. Plants still turned out amazing tho. Super frosty chunky and reeks. Hope next run goes better.

Need some advice. Let me tell ya the details of the last couple days.

09/26/2019
Medusa 10 ml
Gaia 10 ml
Athenas 10 ml
Demeters 5 ml
Herc 10 ml
Zeus 5 ml
Oly Up
PH 6.4
PPM 1100

09/27/2019
Herc 20 ml
EZ Tea Veg 5 ml
Is this okay? I use the Herc to lower my tap waters PH.
PH 6.4

So as usual I checked on them before work last night (night of the 27th), and they looked droopy. I am currently dealing with a air flow issue, needless to say the other day my Inkbird controller went stupid again and had a humidity/temp spike. Temp was around 83 humidity was 75, and the tent was hot. And I think it effected my carbon filter as my negative pressure went away. Like I said another story for another time.

So I was thinking about the droop all night, I was thinking I may have over watered but I usually tend to underwater. Lately I've been giving them 4 cups each, they are in 5 gallon pots. Maybe I watch too many OCG videos, correct me if I am wrong, but The Beard says water less but feed more frequent? So that you can give them a daily dose? So this morning I put all the knowledge to the test, which ain't much. I selected 3 plants. Yes I am confident I have been under watering, I could stick my whole index finger in the top of the soil and it was dry. Not bone dry but dry enough. I always just lift the pots but I guess I was second guessing myself.

Also with the 3 selected plants I did slurry test. All test were done with equal parts soil and distilled water.

Plant #1
PH 6.5
PPM 130

Plant #2
PH 6.5
PPM 90

These are both the same strain.

Plant #3
PH 6.7
PPM 140

So this morning I gave them.
Medusa 10 ml
Gaia 10 ml
Athenas 10 ml
Demeters 5 ml
Herc 15 ml
Zeus 5 ml
PH was 6.4
PPM 970. I used distilled water so usually the PPM's are a little lower, wasn't feeling well yesterday and didn't prep tap water. Also gave them 6 cups each. So to me it seems like they need a bigger boost in nutes. Please and thank you!

- Herc is fine to adjust ph on EZ teas

- I'd say the controller failing is what brought the deficiencies to the front = under watering and low ppms.

You got the right idea, but getting to daily feeds takes some diligent dialing. The roots need to successfully colonize the media first and the plants metabolism needs to be trained up to daily feeds. Its extremely beneficial to know the genetics feed habits too.

What size pots? And how they been in them? They are hungry..........how do they look other than the droop? Is there any other plant signs showing.

I've been hitting them with feed, feed, herc, feed, feed, tea since 9/11. Skipped 2 days here and there to let them dry a sec. I've been sticking it to them.

5 gallon pots, they seem to like the size really grew fast. Besides the droop they look good a tad bit of yellowish in the leaves at night when I check on them.

You got some hungry girls, get those feeds up!! Its a good time to foliar some nutrition since the roots are not holding the plants up.

Just so I understand when you say get the feeds up, you mean get the ppm up right? If thats what you are telling me, tomorrow I will do a experiment!

Most definitely, you can try a spiked up feed and double everything but zues, then follow up with stronger feeds than you been using, bumping up AA, DD, & Herc. You can play around with the base, MM & GM, but don't get too crazy with it until you see the plants turn around and can take it.

Plants just love nectar its crazy. Im feeding mid veg plants some strong feeds about 1200ppm and they are so happy much better then my last ones. Im on fftfff regimen i only slurry when i see a problem its working great this round. I dont bk untill mid flower just less of a headache for me. Last slurry was 6.6ph 260ppm. id start slow to see how they react and keep pushing more n more i havent seen the ceiling yet lol.

Good to hear Loop, keep it up.....There will be way less headache & head scratchin this run, I can feel it!! Just keep them moving through the stages and don't let them get too Rootbound. Anytime I have problems, its usually because I left them in pots that can't withstand my procrastination. Some genetics don't give a shit and can take any abuse we impose on them, and some get fussy with the slightest misstep. The good thing is we learn from the troubles, and the successes!! And thankfully we all have each other to bounce shit off of!!

Alright I am happy to report the plants are looking positive. As a recap yesterday I gave them.

Medusa 10 ml
Gaia 10 ml
Athenas 10 ml
Demeters 5 ml
Herc 15 ml
Zeus 5 ml
PH was 6.4
PPM 970. Using distilled water.

Today I gave em a bump, hope it wasn't to crazy.

Medusa 15 ml
Gaia 10 ml
Athenas 10 ml
Demeters 10 ml
Herc 20 ml
Zeus 5 ml
PH was 6.3
PPM 1530. Using prepped tap water.

So an extra 5 ml of Medusa, Demeters, and Herc. At first when I saw the 1530 PPM, I almost stopped for a minute, then I started thinking they have had a good number of feeds in the 1100's. I'll keep ya posted!

That oughta do the trick! You can prolly lean on Athenas a lil harder too to get some richer greens back into them!!

Will do Irie. I remembered a new OCG episode so re watched it this morning, the one talking about feeding hungry plants. Thats what gave me the idea to up the Med, DD, Herc. He did mention Athenas as you did. I held back this time as I didn't want to go to far, if everything goes well I will use the same mix except bump Athenas on the next feed.

Its a good idea to test your feed ppm after adding each bottle to see which ones are stronger or gentler. So when you need to bump something up, you have an idea of how much its gonna raise your feeds.

nice work dude! It will :)

Maybe try hydroton at the bottom for some drainage/air pruning. It eliminates circling. Wont be so SOL if you let them stay in the pot for too long.
