you may have answered you own question, if by 'not very good at leaking the excess' means you're not getting good drainage at the bottom of the pot
toxic wastes may have built up if you're not getting a good flow of water through the pot(maybe)
Yup. You should be feeding/watering with runoff through the holes in the bottom of the pot. What's the drainage like? I buy a pot with decent holes in it...then I get the drill and make some more.

yeah. i water until the holes seep but i just think after a while its just not enough.

i did another flush tonight. shes looking better even after the flush i did last night.

shell bounce back. a lot of the hairs are orange, should i look at cuttin down? im nervous because i havent gotten a scope yet, i still need to pick one up. i had a ton of orange hairs about three weeks ago, but i just left her and the next day all the orange ones were white again and the buds were twice the size.

so how do i know when shes ready?

getting some magnification is a good next step - few strains are going to be done before 9 weeks, so that may give you some idea where you are

gotta get a scope

You need to take pics (I know I keep saying that). First, what I would do is look at the breeder's recomended flowering time. That's not gonna be exact and might not be even correct in your case, however, it's a good starting point of what to broadly expect.

A couple of things to watch for are when the white hairs turn brown and receed into the bud. The ultimate gauge is the trichomes though. And for that you need to go to radio shack and pick up a 30x or more microscope (they are only $15). Do not think you can avoid the scope. You really really need it. As far as what to look for in the trichomes... Well there are a lot of opinions on that. I suggest doing some research and make your own conclusions. When you harvest makes a difference and ultimately it is all based on reading the plant. I had 2 going this grow and they are probably gonna finish 2 weeks apart even though they are the same strain.

you've got a ways to go, i'd guess 4 weeks
don't be surprised from some leaf yellowing, drying , etc. - that can be part of the natural maturation process
however, things don't look perfect here, but not bad either, you're doing pretty well on the whole

Yikes! You need a more proactive approach! Don't wait till you get in that type of situation to get help. I hope whatever that is stays out of your sugar leaves. I'm not gonna guess here, but you didn't get a way to check your PH did you?

yeah man, thats the weird thing is i check the PH with a PH testing meter and its just a tad above nutrel but its nothing that would make a difference according to what ive read.

Hmmm. Have you been feeding? Have you been staying on distilled water? If so, have you been supplementing Cal-Mag? I want to get to the source of the issue, so you don't have these problems on your next grow.

no feeding. every water i use distilled from the store and i do it till i get a good heavy run off. no supplements but when i was doing some reading it almost seems like she might have a magnesum or calcium deficiency.

if not fed, i'd suspect you're seeing some 'accelerated' maturation from low nutrient levels
it is perfectly normal for plants in flower to suck nutrients out of fan leaves, how much varies quite a bit though there does look like something is a bit out of whack, but remember it is easy to add things that make the matter worse

theres just alot of dumb kids doing that with rubbermaids. thats why i ask. i never understand why people dont build a cabinet, or use a closet, or a bedroom like me. if your going to grow, its pointless to do any part of it half assed.

If you water with distilled, you have to supplement the calcium and magnesium because distilled is stripped of everything. When people use tap, the cal and mag are already in the water. If your tap is bad and you use distilled you have to add this back in or you will get deficiency which will fuck your world as you are seeing. I would go get some cal-mag and dose every water with it according to the instructions. Congrats, you solved one of your problems.

Also you need to get the proper nutes and get on a regular feeding schedule. Additionally, if you are using nutes with distilled, there is no way your PH is neutral. Nutes drop the PH and since distilled is not buffered, it tends to drop even more. So when adding nutes to distilled it is good to have a bottle of PH UP handy, to slowly bring it up. What are you testing your PH with?

You solved another problem. You need to buy a PH tester and/or some PH strips to test your feeding/watering solution before you dump it in. And it helps to test the run off as well. You want to be around 6.5 in soil
