I'm also a newbie, but I've done TONS of reading on this site. As far as how close you should keep the lights, CFL's can be placed within a couple inches due to the low heat. Your other questions can be answered if you take the time to read. That's what I been doing a whole lot of

I would let the root mass develop some more before transplanting. You can do it now if you want, but the root system is very fragile at this state of the grow and you would have to be careful not to tear them up. The containers they are in look fine for right now and a couple more weeks.

On another note, you need to get those lights closer. You can get pretty close with cfls. I would syart at about 2" and see how that is. A good way to check heat from the bulbs is to hold the back of your hand where the nearest vegetation is located. If it is uncomfortable for you it is too close to the plant.

yeh they will be fine in those pots for a week or so, make sure you lower those lights! Get them about 2-3 inches away

Your good for about 3 weeks in those yes you need more lights and move those down to about 4 inches from the tops of the sedlings.I would move the lights closer and put em inside on 24/7 just my 2 cents.Ive put a clone in a 16oz dixie cup and flowered it out and got 7 grams in a cup.

Just keep reading, and keep asking questions. Everyone on this site seems to be pretty helpful and willing to offer advice, but will be quick to tell you that you need to spend some time reading past threads if you ask questions that have been discussed several times on this site. Lots of cool peeps and knowledge on this site, bro. Use it to your advantage, and pass it on to the next newbie! Be easy, and good luck with your grow
