ok I have a tent setup. its a 32"x20"x68"....I am atm using a 600watt hps in a cool tube. the setup is 4" carbon to 6" high velocity can fan to 6" cool tube woth 6"inline pushing at back end to exhaust. I know I might be pushing it with the 600 watt setup. temps are hitting 100F...I also am running a 4" inline that pulls in room temp from out the closet and out of the tent. I am getting frustrated and I wanted this as veg and flower...:cry::cry:
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!

Where are you exhausting the hot air too? Is it being put back in your room or exhausted outside?

Do you have the money to get another fan for the cool tube, and let the carbon scrubber sit independently?

The problem is that you have to lower those temps by 20 to 25 degrees. That could be a hell of a problem even if you can separate the cooling and carbon scrubbing. You may need to purchase an in room air conditioner, which you will also have to vent away from your grow area.

Unfortantly Yes I am exhuasting in the closet. But the closet is pretty big. its about 7'x2.5'x10'.

I can feel the heat right off the cool tube as if the inline fane is just not pushing enough and the basic 6" inline at the back end is probably not doing enough.

Do you think if switched to a 400 hps I will still get the same results? I am asuming that it will go down a few degrees. but probably not enough??

Something like this:

You would just have to macgyver some ducting to blow directly into your tent.

That closet isn't that big to be exhausting the heat from the light. A 600w light is probably putting out 450 watts of heat. In your situation you aren't moving that air away from the grow tent, so its just reabsorbing everything.

You could use a 400, but I think you'll only notice a six to eight degree drop, but that's a rough estimate.

you are going to have to vent outside the closet - both 1. your cool tube and 2. either another vent for the tent itself or for an ac exhaust. There is no other way.

Yea I just tried to straight line the cooltube. Sucking the air out directly from the tube and going out of the closet. I haven't created the scrubber yet since I need the fan for it. but temps haven't rellly changed... :-( looks like I need to kick the owner out of the house and build a room.... lmao... but seriously. I have been cutting holes and trying to pull in room temp. looks like I need to do some 6" cuts and run ducts...dont think that will fix this monsterious heat. Any ideas on a better setup??

What about LED lighting?? Would that be surfice for good yield setup?
LEDs are new technology, and a lot of people don't trust them. I use two 50w LEDs for veg, and I have another friend who is using 4 205w LEDs in one of his tents. They are expensive as hell. His were $800 each, now they are down to $700, but they kick ass. They really are unbelievable.

checkout my grow on youtube..should give you some ideas. i just had to install an a/c myself due to hot temps. username punkoska420 on youtube.
