Well from the title you can see that I just started a grow. I am using 5 26 watt cfl bulbs. Right now I dont have any pictures due to them just being planted but I will have some soon. I was wondering what would be a good soil mixture for when I move them out of the cups I have them in now to something bigger down the road?

Could I mix up my own? Like some potting mix, then perlite, and vermiculite. Then just add nutrients as needed? I dont have access to nice stuff like that.

what do you guys think would be a good mixture? Also I have 6 26 watt cfls for 6 plants is that enough?

are those 2700k bulbs? 6500k are not necessarily needed but are prefered for vegetation. they usually say daylight on them. but if your on a budget that will have to do.

Actually I believe its 6500k for veg and 2700 for flower(if you flower with cfl's too) either that or i've got 16 of the wrong kelvin in my cab. :leaf::leaf:
Yea I have 4 6500k and 2 2700k bulbs going right now because I didn't have enough 6500k bulbs.
Also I am wanting to transplant them soon what should I transplant into? Like a 3 gallon pot? And what soil mixture would you guys recommend?

I guess it depends on what you are planning on doing with them. What sort of setup are you thinking of for flowering?

Just a tip: Refrain from switching the lighting up on them too often. I say this because I switched out the bulbs 3 or 4 times on my first grow and screwed up my plants. I would recommend introducing 2-3 5500K-6500K bulbs into their light cycle then gradually replace all 2700K bulbs.

Oh, and throw some more soil in those cups ASAP to better support their stems.

Dr. Greene thanks. I guess I kind of did that.. I added 4 6500 and kept 2 2700k's in.
When should I introduce nutrients to the plants?

Where in the hell am I?

Well, I guess I dont know wat I'm doin. All I use wen I use CFL's are 2700K. But my buds are dense, taste amazing, and get ya real f***ed up. My harvest wasnt bad, either.

If it works then you know what you're doing. Im just going off of what Ive read. Your plants seem to do great. How tall do they typically get?
