OK, this is my first time growing, and i am wondering a few things.

First off i used mylar gift bags for wine bottles as my wall covering, but i set it up while drinking, so it isnt smooth its got wrinkles all over it. ALL over it. So will this cause hot spots or not?

They are very bushy 13"1/2 wide 10"1/2 height.

They have been throught alot of changes, started in the window seeds straight into dirt, didnt per-germinate them, had not found this site yet ><.
Moved them when 1 week old under 2 T8's 15 watt. Realized this wasnt enough light and added 2 13 watt cfl's in the 2200k spectrum. The next day i realized this was the incorrect spectrum. Replaced all of the lights, useing T8's for clones/ seedlings. Replaced with 3 23 watt 6500k and 3 30 watt 5500k.

Right now they seem very healthy, but they are very short for how wide they are. I went from 12oz cups to 1 gallon to now 3 gallon. They are roughly 6 weeks old but they didnt really get they light they have now 2-3 weeks ago. Which i assume is why they are so short.

Ive been keeping the lights 3-5 inches above them, should i move them higher to make them taller?

In the vegitation stage will they also have branches opposite each other, i am under the assumption they start to branch NOT opposite each other, and this means something. What it means im not sure at the moment. Does it mean anything?

Also the seeds are from probably the worst bag shitty weed ive ever smoked, it didnt even seem to get me high.

The reflective material should be ok.

Bushy and wide is always better than tall.. NEARLY EVERY PLANT will eventually get tall.. but not all plants will get bushy.. bushy means BIGGER yield..

the branches coming of the main stems are called nodes... when the nodes begin to alternate, the plant has entered (what some people call) its mature stage...

you should FLOWER now... you do not have enough light to sustain a big plant... FLOWER now and keep your fingers crossed...

the plant needs 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness every 24 hours.. this is VITAL to your success...

you should also pH your water...

Ok i have one plant in my flower spot it is on the 5th day. 2 are in the veg area. I do ph my water, and am using "Bloom Boost, Bloom Grow, Blow flower" as my nuts. Ventilation is my next step. In the flower area i have 6 19 watt cfls 2200k. Im rather nervous it will be a male, but it is shit seed.

My friend gave me a nug seed 1, i was able to germinate it and get it to sprout in a 1 inch rockwool, after the 2nd set of leaves grew and got about 3/4 a inch i have transplanted into 4 inch rockwool. It is in the middle of the other 2 plants on the veg side. I worked up a 1/4 str nutrient solution. I have a moisture meter does that work in rockwool, and where would i probe, also cant it injury the roots? Today it sprouted the 3 set of leaves seems to be happy. How long also from seed to mature does it take 2+ months?

Temps are around 70 and humidity is at 70%. Its 20 and raining ice atm outside.

Any info or help on watering my one nug seed would be appreciated, also can i transplant the rockwool into soil once its in the 4 incher, or do i even need to at all and just grow it out?

So i want to practice cloning, but all the FAQ about it always explain how to do it once the nodes are NOT opposite each other. How do i cut a clone if they are still growing opposite each other? Or can i not? Or does it not matter and all a clone needs is some leaves and a stem?

Flower right now. Your plant can be cloned right now just take a branch from the bottom that isn't getting great light or won't produce any bud.

Ok thanks for the replies i will move them over tomm. Also the reason i used the worst possible seeds is to prove to myself i can grow and to see the level of improvement i am capable of. Improving from 0 to a 1 out of 10 would be a accomplishment in my eyes. Hopefully it wont be such a small improvement. Even after all ive learned and done to these plants they could end up being males, which is so annoying. But next time around it wont be such a changing process and a more stable enviroment.

Well i cut 3 clones from each plant so 9 total. I will be VERY surprised if any live. First time doing cutting and i suck at 45 degree angles on the first cut ><. Most likely cut the wrong type of leave/stem, so i cut 3 different types leaves i guess u could say. One of them got the whole in the middle so i tried to cut up the stem further but i doubt that helped =p. Also my flower area isnt that wide. It is about 6 feet tall, so height is not that big of a issue. Question, is it better to cram all 3 plants on the flower side, i can do this but they will be leaves running into each other, alot of leaves. How does this effect it?

Am i better off just having 2 flowering plants so they have more space, then again my third plant will be just sitting on the veg side. Maybe i can try to enlarge my flower area. ><
