Hello Rollitup!

I'm a long time reader of these forums and a first time poster.
I have a lot of admiration and respect for those of you who have shared
your grows, experiences and problems.

This is what i would call my first proper grow. I have done 2 previous
with "seeds from a friend who has loads" all can say as regards to that is DONT
as im sure most of you know already. Well my seeds were all hermies. first crop got 99%
of the bollocks and smoke was poor to average, by average i mean
weed that at least gets you stoned.
Yet i did another grow with them, this time not getting all the bollocks.
Went to seed and lesson well learned

This time I am doing
Sensi Seeds - NL5 X Haze 7 of, and one of each of these on top, all from seed.
1. Big Buddah - Freeze Cheese 89
2. Barneys Farm - 8 ball kush
3. Pyramid Seeds - Anubis
4. Serious Seeds - AK 47

My purpose of posting here is to share, and while i am not asking for help or anyones time,
I welcome any comments, advice, or ideas any of you may want to post and appreciate this.

I am a newbie at this as I said but I have done a fair amount of homework and now i have some decent girls
i think we will have a beautiful relationship :)

So my setup (main room veg & bloom)

Grow tent 2x2x2
400w ballest and lights x2 (HID for veg HPS for flowering) (i know i need bigger or more but its running costs)

Ecotechs Evolution Digital temp and humidity controller with the following connected to it:
2 matched intake and exhaust fans 4" with an extra exhaust fan
1000w fan heater
temperature and humidity sensor

1 oscilating fan
1 oscilating tower fan

Hydroponics grow with rockwool and canna hydro nutes (a + b rhizotonic cannazym boost pk etc)
soft tap water used ph adjusted to around about 5.6 is where i like to keep it give or take a point or 2)

Following the heavy feeding schedule close to what canna advise on their site to be safe for now until i am ready to experement further
I will add as a thought that i am very interested in foliar spraying and will be doing some more homework on this
before considering an experement.

The girls are 3 days into flowering under HPS and bloom nutes after a nice flush out with cannaflush then water.
They spent 55 days from germination first under cfl sunblaster lighting to a ballest/light (400w HID) in a seperate location.
This is because of waiting for the previous crap.. erm i mean crop to finish... but allowed for topping and training to create a nice canopy

They seem very happy and rich, I have pictures to follow of the first signs of flowers under the HID lighting.
I will take more now they are 3 days into HPS

Thanks for reading, please feel free to comment as desired. I am also happy to answer any questions anyone has about my girls though cannot and will not offer any advice due to my lack of experience.

Respect peace and love :) :joint:

A couple of the whole lot (as much as i could get in the shot)

Here is a shot of each plant as listed above 1 to 4 (these were the single seeds)

for some reason i took a closeup of 4

Finally the largest and most advanced sensi NL5 x Haze in te middle (although as you can see in the first pics it is more streched than the others, so maybe not the best)

Day 59 from seed, Day 5 flowering. and pics in order 1 2 3 4 sensi and 2x jungle

1f.jpg2f.png4f.pngbig nl5.jpghwf.jpghwf2.jpg

I have very suddenly developed a massive humidity rise and cannot get it below 65 - 70% try as i might, I have seen it as high as 85%
The weather is bad and so is the time of year, that and on top i have "real girls" this time. I am broke just now also but will need to get a dehumidifier asap :cry:
I would appreciate any advice on a good one if anyone knows, I understand many will think 11 plants is too many for 2x2x2 tent. I have added 2 stationary fans to the existing setup today along with a powerless plastic dehumidifier with a powder tablet (which is about as useful as a chocolate teapot). It helped maybe drop 5% RH
Fingers crossed :joint:peace and love :weed:

Thanks for sharing!

Your plants looks really good, though as you pointed out you could use more for that many plants and that size footprint. Totally jealous of all of the space though :D More airflow or a dehumidifier are the ticket, you will really want to get that dialed in before your flowers pack on a bunch of density. Just make sure you have a ton of circulation in the mean time.

Diary update:

Still with my high humidity issue stuck around 70 - 75% during the day and 65ish at night i tried an experiment and did a little homework. With the 2000w heater on my humidity came down tow 50%. I forgot about the heater though and the temperature rocketed to 35c 96f. Oops sorry girls. My normal daytime temps are around 28c 84f night around 23c 74f.

I did a little homework on dehumidifiers. I have become aware of a couple of issues. I am venting my tent with matched 4" intake and exhaust fans. I have an extra 4" exhaust. Dehumidifiers create a of heat so it seems and are pointless if your exchanging the air like i am. It appears maybe what i need is an air conditioning unit, I have more research to do. I am 6 days into flowering and have a lot of air movement. a total of 4 fans + 1 intake and 2 exhausts going 24/7, so i am not too worried about the dreaded bud rot quite yet. I would be interested and grateful on information or experience of this.

I have also been looking at others posts on this particular strain from sensi NL5 X HAZE fem. I have found maybe 1 complete journal in soil and a few patchy ones here and there yet to find a decent hydro one. I would be very interested to hear from anyone about a grow they or someone else have done i can view.

I am doing my grow in rockwool. started in 1" transferred to 4" and potted in 10l pots with rockwool pellets.
Using Canna Hydro feed and schedule. Run to waste.
I have attached an aerial view diagram of the grow room.

Thanks for your interest and post, I have indeed added some more fans for air circulation as above and am scraching my head about a better fix for the moment. I have also hit a brick wall with available spending money too. Hopefully that comes to a quick end.

Peace

2 large sensi's at the door.jpganother sensi.jpg
A couple of shots of other NL5XHAZE

jungle shot.jpg
And a final jungle shot.

So to recap, the weather has been a changing and my humidity has settled around 50% which i am happy with for this stage as i can be. I dont have the money to shell on what appears to be an air conditioning unit i need. not just a dehumidifier as those pose heat problems.

The plants are still on the first stage of bloom nutes from canna (Hydro flores a+b rhizotonic cannazym and max boost) The roots have now outgrown the rockwool and made their way to the idle drain water below. The 10l pot design consists of plastic bucket drilled as a net filled with rockwool holding the plant (10l) this is housed in another 2 plastic buckets, 1 with the bottom chopped off and joined together at the rim, creating a raised housing for the cage(drilled bucket).
These housings are plumbed in series to a drain resevior. but a little water sits in the bottom of each plant housing. I have decided to airiate and ciculate the drain water which is sitting after last feed at 690ppm hanna 5.9 ph by taking a pump in the resevoir and directing it with a hose back to the housing of the first plant (bypassing the already fed rockwool) this giving the roots in the resevoir drain a fresh airiated supply of water. I feed thae plants with water about 5.4 currently. ppm around 1100 hanna. Feed time is once at lights on once before lights off.
All plants have at least 5 main colas barring the far plant on its own.

As always comments suggestions ideas alike are welcomed I am still a noob
