Hello,

I'm a noob on this site; this is my first closet room and first grow.
I've been in to gardening since I was a young young child and have just been having an itch to grow MJ for years; So here is my newbie thread.

Grow closest it 4ft x 2ft x 5ft wrapped with reflective insulator board and sealed with ducting tape.
Have a 400watt light setup (MH bulb for veggie and HPS for flower). Also have two outdoor 100watt MH lights I rigged to hang, and had plans to add the extra 12000 lumens of blue spectrum to the flowering stage.
Have a 6 inch inline vortex fan that pushes 240-260cfm's but haven't gotten to rigging it up to the cool tube bulb fixture.

In the picture of the grow room, you will see in the lower right corner a warming plate I have at 32*C for germi and baby stages. Also it is surrounded by 2 9watt t5 6400k lights and a baby LED light set above it just for the first week.

As far as medium, im using FoxFarm's Happy Frog.
I have Fox Farm's Grow Big nutes for later dates and adding a drop of Superthrive to every feeding.

The picture with the two of them is a week after first crack of the shell and a taproot emerged.
The other two are pictures of them at 10 days after taproot.

This beauty is a 10 day old AK49 Auto from Vision.
Bubblelious Auto day10.jpg
This cutie is a 10 day old Bubblelious Auto from Nirvana.

Will Try to update as fast as possible, but given how busy things are in my life as of now it might be a few week delay between post.
But please wish me luck, I want my first grow to be extraordinary!! :)

Thank you,

hoots

Well thank you for the kind words.

Small picture update:

55 lbs. bag at a local shop cost me $31.99 plus tax.
I like the happy frog because it's got a milder mix of nudes than the Ocean Forest and more than a soiless mix, IMO, it makes it a bit easier for newbies on feeding.

Yes it's a small update, but i just transplanted my two girls into their finally home; 5 gallon(~20liter) buckets full of Happy Frog.
Still just giving them water with a drop of SuperThrive, as they look to be doing just fine from the soil itself for now. I have a friend that is sending me a clone of some Blue Moon from Kindminds that he said is out of this world so i'll have to update when she arrives and joins the party.
Odor on the AK49 is getting stronger haven't, and temps in the closet are getting higher (86-88F(~31C)) as the temps outside are a bit warm this week. ; humidity is staying at roughly 40 but I did have a few points where it dropped to 24-28 so I sprayed water all in the closet, and am working on getting a humidifier. So it looks like i'll need to start working on getting my 6inch inline fan hooked up and squared away soon.

I guess enough of me blabbin on, here's some pictures! ;)

Glad to see someone else growing this strain, Nice job. When my humidity was low I would soak rockwool cubes in water then place cubes next to plant. My humidity went from 37% to 70%. Im looking into trying out the Happy Frog instead of the Ocean Forest.

Ok, I some small picture updates to see what everyone thinks. I took some picture of them before I left for vacation for a week and had set up everything for my best friend to water and feed them when needed. A week away from my girls was tough not watching them grow but to arrive home to a swarm of skunk once the door opened and to see the the growth from just one week was surprising.

I also came back to see some nice beautiful white hairs sprouting... :) not sure how well they can be seen from the pictures.

(All days are from the day they popped out from the soil.)

Cool. My first grow started on Nov 26 - that's when the sprouts first popped out of the coco. Alas, I killed everything except the auto bub. I'm tweaking the pH a bit and the nutes to counter a recent deficiency, but it is doing pretty good considering. I haven't posted a pic in a while - I guess I'll try this weekend.

I still have 3 auto bub seeds left. I have a couple of other Nirvana non-auto that I just germinated. Good luck with yours!

Thank you cheechako... best of luck with yours as well.
Mine seem to be doing great; really need to get my carbon filter hooked up, my place is starting to get skunked out.

I'm growing AK 49 auto. Vision seed. Girl poked up on Christmas day, will be at week 4 tomorrow. Already seeing white pistols, and stanky odor. Its quite lovely. Got her under 400watt hps. She's over 18in tall now. Bushy with a lot of new growth. Had to start watering more, she's drink in so fast. Its like everything I give her she uses up in a day and a half. This is my first auto strain. And I've been very impressed with vision seeds. I'm getting excite to start seeing those thick dank buds. Can't wait to get my Super Skunk Auto germd and started. Keep me posted, I like to keep an eye on Ur progress.

Thank you both. I'd say the growth of the bubble is a bit slow, but she started flowering, and as for the AK49... yes she is growing quick and i'll be sure to keep these thread updated for help and advice, and to show others how these stains work.

baby update!
Just got some pics. Switching to my 400w HPS bulb and 150w MH setup (for some blue spectrum) tomorrow morning.
The AK49 has some nice amount of hairs, but the bubblelicious only has a few and doesn't look as far along as the AK; according to all the descriptions the bubblelicious was/is supposed to flower faster (from what I've read).

Well here:

Both (L)Bubblelicious & (R)AK49: Day 27 (I;m LST the ak currently)

maybe time to start feeding? everything looks good man, nice to see a newb who has a clue. its always easier to get into this when you have cared for other plants before.

Thank you both, I'm taking great pride in these girls. I research the best i can before I do something and i've tried growing bag seeds before but was a bit clueless. I've read Ed Rosenthal's Grower's Handbook nearly 6 or so times just to make sure I had it down. Watched George Cervantes' videos a few times, go through the forums, etc. But still need the first hand experience to fully understand the ins and outs. I have, however, grown plenty of other garden plants like tomatoes; cucumbers; carrots; jalapenos; spinach, and some other plan house hold air purifiers! :)

But I have feed them twice in the last two weeks; but i'm not feeding the full strength, so I wasn't thinking the bubble was getting nute burn, but i'll just cut back her percentage of nute to insure. On the last watering I added a teaspoon of molasses to a gallon of water to help with nute uptake.

I was planning on flushing them next Friday and dry the soil a bit before feeding again. I watched a few videos from Green House Seeds and they recommend doing that at pre-flower to further induce flowering but giving the roots a burst of oxygen.

What do you all think?
And lord the AK is skunken up my room. I picked up some ONA to help till my carbon filter comes in.
