people in my neck of the woods go to a local state forest and use buckets. Take a 4-5 gallon bucket wait until spring put an established baby in the bucket, use a pulley, move bucket to the top of a tree, come back 7 weeks later. The spring time is an important part of the equation as the trees will fill in with new leaves and hide your buckets. For bonus points use camo colored buckets!

That's incredibly shifty. I'm in sort of a metro area so that probably wouldn't work. There is an overgrown couple acre field near me that gets 3-4' tall grass and weeds during the summer. I figure if I could clear a 2x2 plot of land and hell, dig down a few inches for more cover I could make a small garden nobody would see. The plants would only be there for 6-7 weeks, why not try it if I have spare beans?

If that is the plan you might as well pick up some 2 gallon air pots, dig the holes and put the entire planted baby in the pot and leave it. Give 'em some good soil to start with and they'll get super healthy by the time the plant's roots grow through the air pot into the rest of the ground. This will keep other plant's roots from inhibiting your autos growth in the beginning. Air pots are mega cheap too.

If you've got extra seeds like you said ... might as well.
