New to auto-flowering

Without knowing your night temps its a shot in the dark. If your soil has been wet constantly then thats another thing that stalled growth. Your autos roots are probably water logged. Im surprised theyre still alive. Got to love that ruderalis trait. Only media Ive used that can be wet almost all the time is coco. Next time start them indoors. Night temps never lower than 65 and never over 95. When the autos are about one feet tall move them outside 3 hours a day in direct sunlight and bring them back indoors. Do this for about a week (this hardens them off for outdoor growing/your environment) and after that you can leave them outdoors.

I too start in my "grow shed". Temp control and 18/6 lights. Funny, also grow to about a foot high before going outside. I will aclimate a little too.
My summer lows are usually in the low 50s at night exept for a brief few weeks mid summer, then it's 55 at night..so not ideal for veg, but works.

* This gets me thinking about the right amount of indoor light before moving outside?

Should one maximize light to maximize growth indoors? Or should one match the light to what the plant will experience outside?

I'm at 18 hours of light inside and move out into 15 to 17 hours of light. (may/june)

More light means that the plant can use more nutrients. If the plant eats more it grows more right?

We cant create a sun indoors yet so im still waiting on that one. I think youre talking about the amount of hours we should use (indoors) to match that of our environment outdoors. I never thought of that. It sounds like a good thing to try to avoid stressing the plant.

Yes, that's my thinking, avoid stressing. Matching light hours ? I had a couple mild cases of Hermies. No seed set but some balls on the stems, that died off. Also this Sour hound (free seed) is Foxtailing. Chopping today.

And im not sure what you mean by your seeds have nitrogen defiency....more plants have been killed by new growers overfeeding than all other issues put together

I looked at the Lineage and it looks solid though. Sour Crack x Chemdogging. Unless i missed it didn't see how far. Read she has 20% amber trichs by 60 days and yeilds average 60 grams. That is some serious meds in a fast time.
 
Hi I'm new to Autoflowers and have a question I can't seem to find the answer to. I'm just going to use one of my strain breeds as an example. I'm growing BOMB SEEDS THC Bomb Auto and I'm coming up on controversy information according to bomb seeds it says 65 days till Harvest but I have seen people's grow journals that show their plants at 12 weeks. My question is is that 65 days from Sprout to harvest or 65 days of flower time or am I just wrong on 65 days. Any information would be very helpful if you've ever grown THC bomb Auto, Gorilla Glue #4 Auto or blue dream Auto would you please weigh in and let me know the actual grow time from seed to harvest that you had with your plants.

Every seed will usually vary in phenotype. For example, you have 3 boys, One will grow fast and tall, one may grow slower, one may be born with a physical disorder etc. Some phenos take longer to grow while others are fast.

I looked at their strain information and it says 65 days from seed. Breeders suggested flowering times and harvest should be used as a guideline only. Dont think of it as "set in stone" it all goes back to the phenotype statement I posted above.

It all goes by knowing the sighns of when a plant is ready to harvest. Trichomes turning cloudy, amber, also swelling of the calyx (it should be swollen to the point it looks like there is a seed in the calyx at harvest), a mojority of the pistils will turn brown and they shouldnt be white or pointing straight out., etc. Look in the harvest section.

I wish my auto's finished in 65 days, every auto i have grown don't start throwing pistols till around day 50, but my auto's get pretty big. Longest auto i grew took 120 days, quickest auto 80 days.

Size seems to be a factor on how many days to finish for me too. ( Phenotype varibility and different strains)

Maybe 3/4 the time a strain takes longer for me than the seed house suggests. My nights are cool.
 
Thanks everyone for your responses. I assumed it would vary but I was only trying to come up with an estimated time to expect her to be close to finishing so I could flush.

Autos let me grow a great number of strains, and allow me to flower when I want to not when day length dictates. I can get two crops in a summer. (Starting plants indoors) So my 15 plant at a time medical license produces plenty of medicine for myself.

I don't transplant. I start them indoors in 5 gallon fabric pots. At roughly a foot high I move them outside.

It seems some veg time in an ideal environment, helps get a larger plant outside. ?
