I like to cut them around 6-8" long, trim off lower leaves & scrape off the cambrian layer on the stem for the first 1 1/2" or so - dip them in rooting powder & I just put them in a rubbermaid tote (in red solo cups) with a piece of plexiglass over the top. Two CFL worklights shining down through the plexi & I'm done other than misting every day or so.
Oh, and I like to give the soil a good drench when I put them in the dirt & last thing, seedling mat. It keeps everything nice & warm - makes them happy.
