This thread is about discussing the topic of California's new legislation that takes effect today. New licenses that will be released for commercial grows, dispensaries, nurseries and delivery services. Everything is going to be tracked now from seed to retail sales completely. So where does that leave farmers and collectives that miss out on getting licenses to continue in the trade? Will the underground sells of medical marijuana disappear with it being highly accessible from licensed resources? Will the cost per lb drop signifently? After the end of prohibition with alcohol, the moonshine market disappeared almost overnight. Leaving moonshiners broke with no market for their product, due to legal readily supplied whiskey and other alcohol. Will the marijuana market fall to the same resolve? Will major corporations take over this industry? Let's discuss and see where we believe things will go.
