New Aeroflo2 60 Grow! Started from the ground up! Lots of Pics!!

Oh yeah and thats my current run up above those ones are all on light movers. The movers only run them back and forth like a foot and a half just so it help eliminate shadowing.

Yea i was a little worried about uneven light too.. Thats why i went with the 4 600 watts.. your setup is a little bigger it seems like. I put most of the seeds in the ez clone and then I put like 5 or 6 in a rooting sponge in a dome. I forgot to take pictures today but Ill have them tomorrow. They are both under the light now! The roots seemed to have grown from last night to today. They dont have any medium to push through and they are getting a ton of air and water. Thats why I think they will do good! I also cut all the neoprene inserts in half so they are not as thick and there isnt as much neoprene to go through! We'll see if that works

The growing area is like 4x17 ft and there is 4 1000's illuminating them. So after the beans popped did you just put the root tip pointing down a little bit out of the neoprene im guessing? Also did you put anything in the water or is it just plain RO?

i'll be along for the ride on this one...im doing a 36 site aero grow myself....

I was just reading through your thread....Ive grown with the aeroflos for a while now, and i always mother a few plants, clone them in rooting plugs, and then use hydroton in the baskets provided by GH. make sure you rinse the hydroton thoroughly. also you dont wanna veg these babies for too long...1 week is about all you need veg for. also do you have a water chiller for the res? if not you might want to look into getting one(1/4hp).

IMO aeroponics gives you the best results when growing...its fast, clean, and amazing.

What kind of nutes are you going to use?

Jake- Im def gunna keep an eye on your grow! Looks awesome man!! As for the seeds, Once they sprouted I put them in the ez clone with just the radicle sticking out.. I have the pump on 3min on and 15 off with the florescent tubes on all the time. It looks like the roots are growing a little but its hard to tell.. I just put in the RO system today (i needed parts and fittings for the water supply) so it is reg water.. the ph is almost 8 and the ppms are 450.. Im trying to put RO in the tank tonight.. It was 10 ppm coming outta the system.

Smokey- Thanks! I always love advice and input! I kinda ran out of cash for the water chiller. I will be around often enough to use frozen water bottles or RO ice. Next grow I will have one for sure! I started from seed this time and have never used seeds before. I'm a little lost. lol I have most of the seeds in the ez clone but i also put 6 in a dome with a heat mat too. The roots look like they have grown a little but im not sure. I will be using the GH line of nutes. When should I start feeding with the aeroflo/ez clone? as soon as i see some leaves and substantial roots, i was going to throw them in the aeroflo. my water right now is listed above!

yeah you always wanna use the RO water. I made that mistake the first time i was doing aero. Ive never started from seed in the aero either...my best guess would be to leave them in the ex clone until you have at least 2 nodes of growth.

but in the meantime you should definitely mother up a strain you wanna go with, and start from clone the next time.

Yea the RO doesnt fill very fast so I am going to put RO in it tomorrow for sure. I have a bunch of strains going. Im going to try to get a system to keep a couple mothers in... any ideas? Ill post some more pics tomorrow and Im going to check out your grow right now!

i have my mothers in a 5 gal grow bags...I keep them in soil under a 600W

i get all my RO water from those water machines in front of grocery stores.

You use 1 600W MH or HPS? How many mothers do you have? Yea thats a good idea for the water. I'm gunna keep that in mind for sure.

its HPS. i have 3 gdp 2 afgoo and 1 jack herer. i also have a platinum og kush in another small tent with a 125W cfl..she's in quarantine tho.

wow nice!! Yea maybe ill pick the best looking ones and pull them out before I go to 12/12. They will just stay in Veg so theres no shock! If I did that I could clone them right towards the end of the cycle and have a whole fresh batch.

Ok I hope you put RO water in your cloner because that really makes a difference as far as clones goes anyways. I had a ez 120 and the stupid thin never worked ...like no clones ever.. they all would die!!!! But i was just using regular well water (ppm 350 ph 8.5). So i sold it to my buddy for like $50 cause i though it was a hunk of junk and didnt work and then he goes and uses grocery store bottled water and nothing else and in 6 days he had ginormous roots i was astonished.. that really makes a huge difference.
Anyways I bought a 200 GPD RO (like $300) and yeah it really does waste 2/3 the water it sucks.... buying at the grocery store is almost better.

Hey Jake.. So the roots def look like they are growing! Ill have pics tonight. I went over there last night and took out half of the res and put in RO water! That brought me down from 410ppm to 150 and the water temp is about 78. My RO says 100GPD but who knows. Its working alright but it takes forever. I left it draining into the aero res last night for 9 hours and when i woke up it was almost to the top.. So lets say 40 Gal. in 9 hours I am going to the hydro store now for some pH Down. I swore I had some but I guess not.. Im going to be shooting for 40-50ppm 6.5 pH and 73-76 F.. Ill post a little later and let you know how that goes!

Awesome Im glad the ez clone is working for seeds, you learn something new everyday. How big are you going to let them get before you start adding nutrients. And yeah the GPD (gallon per day) is over a 24 hour period under ideal conditions (water pressure). so 40 gal in 9 hours sounds just about right.

UPDATE:

So i got some pH down and changed the water in the ez clone res. Right now the pH is about 6.5 the temp right around 75 degrees and 60 ppm. Im hoping it will stay around there. The pump is on for 1-2 min and off for 5. I have the lights off now and plan to leave em off for 6 hours then back on for 18. These are all the nutes that I have right now and plan to use.These are the lights that I will be using in the hoods.... 2 are conversion bulbs for veg and 4 are 600w hps (hortilux of course) My tri meter.. took this pic right before I left.ez clone and the dome.some of the roots are growing long and others not so much.. These are 3 different roots of 3 different strains.I put a green bulb in the overhead light i installed so that I can work in the room during the dark period.RO system..It took 5 different pieces to get this RO hoes attached to the sink in the kitchen I have it fed into the room through the wall for easy filling/refilling of the tanks.the other half of the room

Jake- i wasnt going to start with the nutes until i put them into the aeroflo and at that, im not really sure.. I'll probably go into a half strength veg solution and gradually raise it to full strength after the shock.

Ill be keeping a close eye on the water and seeds so Ill post some more later for sure!

OH man that GH biothrive stuff is the sh!t. I got some for free one time at a hydro convention. I personally prob never would have bough it cause it says its vegan. But I ended up using it on a couple plants that werent looking so good and OMG they started taking off over night. Now that all I use when I do soil plants and I never get any type of deficiencies or toxicities or anything since. I def stand by that product. I only use the Veg or the Bloom and you have to supplement it with their cal mag if you use RO water. But nothing else just those

looking good man! The only thing i would suggest is to try and get those res temps down to a cool 67˚. But other than that you should have an amazing grow!
