I'm on my fourth grow but I'm still experimenting with all that can be done to M.J. plants. I wanted to know if I can still top plants off on the lower branches when I'm in flowering week 4? I have seen some growers do it on you tube. I just wanted to see what other have to suggest. I have already topped the very top coloa a few weeks back and there as been a positive result. I just topped off the lower. Branches last night... so now I'm worried if I did more wrong then good?

Try not to manipulate your plants in flower, it stresses them. More stress equals less bud production, top the week before you flip to flower.

If your plants are already 4 weeks into flowering I wouldn't recommend topping or stress training of any sort if you must top do it while the plants still in veg state or 1st week of flowering. As it just causes the plants to stress out = less bud pretty much like InsaneMJ said. Though if you already went ahead and topped it lastnight give it nutrients and water today and it should start making a come back, might hurt your bud production tho. But hey if you didn't take the chance you wouldn't have learned :P

Topping is usually done to create more bud sites or mutiple colas , after your well into flowering the growth is at a bare minimum if any. She is now using the majority of her energy to create buds , I wouldnt see the reason to top now.. maybe you meant Lolipop where you trim the lower parts of the branches , so she focuses on the main bud sites.. Either or like Insane said try to do all waht you ahve to be fore you flip... Good Luck.

I'm still trying to understand the topping and supper crop n methods... I did supper crop my last harvest but I had to move houses and I harvested pre maturaly... it was still 9 weeks into flower but the supper croping did nt do as much production as I thought... Not a good idea to cut parts off in flower...they don't grow back...whatever you leave behind will be all that grows buds and that is no good.

Forget the stress...the point of topping is to increase the outward size of the plant, stem thickness, and number of branches and bud sites...so doing this in flower woudl be counter productive..it is for training...in flower if you need more room you can just bend the tallest part of the plant downwards if you need more vertical room...some people call this super cropping..I call it bending the plant over because I am out of room...ideally you would also do this during veg to allow more branches to grow from the main stalk, but if you are out of room don't remove parts in flower---just move them

Lol, some people call it super cropping I call it bending it over because I'm out of room. I love that. Lol I normally break the branch and then push it down, after 4-5 days it'll heal itself an then I'll have 9 extra
Tops.
