Need tips for new sources when you move across country

I just got out of the military and I'm looking to enjoy my freedoms again, but I moved to a new area and dont know anyone around here. Anyone got any tips on reconnecting with a source that wont come off as like "who the fuck is this guy".

Get a job waiting tables or in a restaurant at least until you get the connect like an hour in
