need help with foliar feeding!!!

i have a few seedlings and i was wondering when it would be appropriate to start foliar feeding with some organic seaweed kelp?

I like to give them until they've got say three sets of leaves just to avoid mold problems and stuff. Now I hardly ever foliar feed though. Just neem.

Seaweed is high in endogenous pplant hormones including Cytokinins. These help with cell growth, division, and elongation. Spray Nitrozyme on a healthy plant and come back in 24 hours and tell me what you think. The plants aren't probably growing fast enough to need the boost until they are maybe 6" tall. Then I start my spray program.
Good Luck!

I have been considering starting a foliar program as well. I read an article on foliar feeding at maximumyield.com. I just tried to find it and can't. Anyway one of the main points of the article was the difference between wetting agents and delivery agents as far as how to get the nutes into the plant via the foliage. Also mentioned was the effectiveness of spraying the underside of the leaves delivering nutes via the stomata. The article said that wetting agents or surfactants are not as effective as delivery agents. And spraying the top side of the leaves was most effective in getting the nutes in. Due to something in the stomata that prevents nutrients from being fully absorbed. I smoke to much too remember all the technical terms, sorry.

So I did a web search for "foliar feeding delivery agents". The only product that came up or was mentioned by any of the links was Dutch Master "Saturator". http://www.dutchmaster.au. I bought a quart today at the store for $30 and will be using it for my foliar program. Because proof is in the pudding. Late.

Now im not saying it doesn't work just not for me lol
I was subbed to a grow on overgrow and a guy used it extensively even in budding (early weeks) and results were amazing.
I jsut find its just another thing that isent really essential.

You should wait until seedlings are transplanted out of their seed starter containers and rooted in their vegging pots to spray them. Absorbing water through the foliage somewhat discourages root growth. This is bad for babies but good for mothers and other plants with a higher risk of root binding. As far as nutrients go, Maxicrop and similar fertilizers can be used throughout the plant's life and half strength mixes won't harm seedlings.

Saturator is a great product, liquid light is even better. Both products last forever and do every bit of what they advertise.

Spraying with Fulvic Acids also help increase phyotosynthesis and metabolism.

I give a light spray of micronutrients right before flowering to prevent any deficiencies in organic growing.
