Need Help In Grow Room Setup-3000 to spend

I have a couple questions that may seem kinda stupid. do you grow in just rock wool when doing SoG in an ebb and flow setup or do you add the clay pebbles? Does any one know any good grow journals they could post a link to that would be kinda like the setup I'm trying to do. What would the yield be like on a 4x8 table using 4 inch cubes, it would be a total of 218 plants. Do growers usually veg for a week or two or throw them straight into flower. thanks again, and i will give ++++rep for anybody that can help me

sog you would be best off using only a rockwool cube .. probably a 4" .. the rocks could be substituted but you would need to build you system around housing net cups full of rock (hydroton)..
but if your using ebb and flood tables i would pack as many 4" cubes in your table as possible and run floods on a times.. cube caps would be a good idea to minimize algae..

thanks for the help again don. I was pretty much going to go with SoG the ebb and flow setup that was under the fact section. Does anyone have any links to good grow journal that would be similar to this.

hey. i've been doing the same thing, researching and pricing everything i need. after pricing everything excluding 2+4's, electrical wire, outlets, exhyuast fan, heater with decent therm., osc. fan, and tubing to route exhuast where i want, i'm at about 1,900 bucks. thats 2 -600wt hps, 12 pot eb+flow hydo, seeds, rock wool, nutes, hydroton, timer for lights, extra plastic drum for res., and plug in type ppm-ph temp meter. should be able to get rest of what i need for around 400.00. 2,300 total(usd). thats everything new, i could save quite a bit if i purchased some things on ebay. if you are growing in dirt, you would save cost of hydro sys @ 575.00. should be able to have decent setup with that much cash:)

Alright I think i got my basic setup figured out tell me what you guys think. two 5x4 ebb and flow tales with a 1000 watt light on each one with a small light mover. On the tables i was thinking of doing the sog method with the 4 inch rockwool cubes. I am basically going to follow the sog setup on the rollitup faq seciton. My questions are does anyone have a journal that would be similar to my setup. should i use the movers or would the 1000's be enough to cover all the area. Can I use vented hoods with light movers, it just seems like with the ventilation hooked up it may get kinda crazy. Any and all help is appreciated and i will hook u up with ++++rep thanksagain dmx I am trying to get this up and going as soon as possible but i just cant figure out what to get

Alright So i made my way out to sacred seeds in toronto Canada last weekend and picked me up some seeds. The strains I have are
1. Original Misty- homegrown fantaseeds
2.Caramella- Homegrown fantaseeds (got 4 free)
3.Master kush- dutch passion
4. afgan kush-flying dutchmen
5. dutchmen's royal orange-flying dutchmen
6.Crimea blue-? barneys farms

Ok so right now there about 5 days old from germination and on there way to be good mothers. Have them under a 4 bulb 4 foot t5 and 2 two bulb 4 foot t8's for the time being. There in fox farm ocean forest and in the next couple of days i will be giving them a small dose of fox farm grow big. I have 30 plants total and hopefully half will be female and good suitable mothers.

I know my title says SoG flood and drain and this is why. I'm going to start one as soon as i can cut clones but hopefully sooner because i found some1 to sell me some clones. I am going to do it just like the table in the faq seciton , cram as many 4 inch rockwool cubes in my tray as i can and throw em right in2 flower. I think i will be using 3 4foot by 4 foot trays with a 1000 watt light on each 1. These are the ?'s I have for you guys.

1. Does any1 have a good journal that would be similar to what i'm trying to do?

2. what kind of hood's should i use air cooled, parabolic, or just vert maybe?

3. where can i get a good price on 1000 watt lumatek ballasts online?

I don't mail order, nope not gonna do it! pay in cash @ the hydro store. 3 G to spend, go stadium most bang for your buck, you could diy multi-flow bucket system. but, you can move moeny to more lights. grow bags some lumber and ya got urself a stadium
