Need an official answer on this ..Tap Water - How long does it have to sit b4 usable

Nowadays tap water contains chloramine, not chlorine. Chloramine doesn't evaporate, so letting it sit out does nothing to reduce chloramine levels. Most people don't feel that chloramine is anything to worry about as far as its impact on bacterial populations, but there are filters that you can buy to remove it from your tap water if you are concerned.

I'm one of those weirdos that removes chloramine despite the fact that objectively there shouldn't be any reason to be concerned.

It doesn't have to sit at all. Chlorine is a plant nutrient. If your concerned about water quality spend $200-300 on an RO System so you KNOW your water is just pure h2o and not who knows what.

I'm the type where I don't wanna have anything I didn't intentionally put into my solution so I use RO. Also I have a lot less problems with scaling and crusty drainage.

The tap has been working pretty good for me but I'll look into an RO system
