Need advice on powering leds w/dimmer.

My application is to start vegetable seedlings and grow them to about 10 inches tall before planting in the garden.
They will be planted in standard greenhouse "flats" with 48 seedlings planted in a 11 x 22" flat.

I'm making a light bar from five Cree XM-L2 leds (on advice from Supra) and four Cree XP-E red leds from ebay that I decided to throw into the mix.

I need a constant current controller for them. Ideally, under full power, I'd like to run them at 900ma.. but I was thinking of adding in a dimmer control also.

Since my combined Vf is at 28.1 volts and I want to run 900mA max, I was looking at this driver on ebay.

Then I thought, why not add a dimmer control..

Any advice on a dimmer control for this setup?

MeanWell LPF range is probably what you are looking for.

Dimming is via 10Vdc or PWM or 100kOhm pot. Comes in variety of flavours - this page on on TRC electronics has them nicely listed http://www.trcelectronics.com/Meanwell/power-supply-lpf-dimmable.shtml

I didn't find anything on Ebay that seemed as easy as Meanwell - adding a simple pot makes it trivial to set up the dimmer. Ebay have a bunch of the bigger wattage drivers with dimming knob (reputed to run hot and produce high RFI), and a bunch of smaller non-dimming drivers. Have seen the occasional PWM dimming model on there.

Thanks for the info.. As it turns out, I decided to just go with a cheap china driver.. $10 shipped to my door. Voltage within range and it is constant current at 900mA.
I don't want to spend a lot of money.. I'm a bit worried about the quality and energy efficiency of these little china imports, but I'm going to give it a try and see what happens.
I'm just growing veggies so its not a cash crop like you guys.. If it all works out, I'll build two or three more of them.
